The ADVWIN BW-101Y Evaporative Air Cooler is a versatile 3-in-1 device functioning as an air cooler, fan, and humidifier. It features a 1.05-gallon (approximately 4-liter) water tank, 90° oscillation, three fan speeds, and includes four ice packs for enhanced cooling.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the air cooler from its packaging. Retain all packaging materials for future storage or transport.
- Placement: Place the unit on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is at least 20 cm (8 inches) of clear space around the unit for proper airflow.
- Fill Water Tank:
- Pull out the water tank from the back of the unit.
- Fill the tank with clean, cool water. Do not exceed the "MAX" fill line. The tank capacity is approximately 1.05 gallons (4 liters).
- Slide the water tank back into the unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Prepare Ice Packs (Optional for enhanced cooling):
- Place the included ice packs in a freezer for at least 2-4 hours until completely frozen.
- Once frozen, place the ice packs directly into the water tank with the water.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard AC 110-120V/60Hz electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
The air cooler can be operated using the touch control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.
Control Panel / Remote Control Functions:
- Power Button (⏻): Press to turn the unit ON or OFF.
- Speed Button (⚙): Press repeatedly to cycle through fan speeds: Low (L), Medium (M), High (H).
- Mode Button (☼): Press to select operating modes: Normal, Natural, or Sleeping.
- Normal Mode: Constant airflow at selected speed.
- Natural Mode: Simulates natural breeze with varying fan speeds.
- Sleeping Mode: Gradually reduces fan speed for quiet operation during sleep.
- Cooler/Humidifier Button (❄): Activates the evaporative cooling/humidifying function. Ensure the water tank is filled. Press again to deactivate.
- Oscillation Button (↻): Press to activate 90° automatic oscillation, distributing air across a wider area. Press again to stop oscillation.
- Timer Button (⏲): Press repeatedly to set the auto-off timer from 1 to 8 hours. Each press adds 1 hour. The display will show the set time.
Remote Control Usage: Point the remote control directly at the unit's receiver. The effective range is approximately 26 feet (8 meters).
Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your air cooler. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
1. Cleaning the Water Tank:
- Pull out the water tank from the back of the unit.
- Empty any remaining water.
- Clean the tank with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- For stubborn deposits, a mixture of white vinegar and water can be used. Let it soak for 30 minutes, then scrub and rinse.
- Dry the tank completely before reinserting it into the unit.
- It is recommended to clean the water tank weekly, especially with frequent use.
2. Cleaning the Fiber Filter:
- Locate the fiber filter, typically behind the water tank or on the back panel.
- Carefully remove the filter.
- Rinse the filter under running water to remove dust and debris. For deeper cleaning, use a soft brush and mild soap.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
- Clean the filter every two weeks or more frequently depending on air quality and usage.
3. Exterior Cleaning:
- Wipe the exterior surfaces of the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
4. Storage:
- Before storing, ensure the water tank is empty and clean, and the filter is dry.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- It is advisable to cover the unit to protect it from dust.
