6. Operating Instructions: Jump Starting a Vehicle
Ensure the jump starter is at least 50% charged before attempting to jump-start a vehicle.
- Prepare the Vehicle: Turn off the vehicle's ignition and all accessories (headlights, radio, air conditioning). Engage the parking brake.
- Connect Smart Jumper Cables:
- Insert the blue plug of the smart jumper cables firmly into the jump starter's output port.
- Connect the RED positive (+) clamp to the vehicle's positive (+) battery terminal.
- Connect the BLACK negative (-) clamp to the vehicle's negative (-) battery terminal.

Image 2: Detail of the smart jumper cables connected to the jump starter unit. The blue connector is inserted into the jump starter, and the red and black clamps are ready for connection to a vehicle battery. The smart cable unit shows "correct" and "reverse" indicators, along with a "BOOST" button.
- Check Indicator Lights: The smart cable unit will display an indicator.
- If the "correct" indicator is green, proceed to the next step.
- If the "reverse" indicator is red, disconnect the clamps and re-connect them with correct polarity.
- If no indicator lights up, ensure the clamps have a good connection to the battery terminals.
- Start the Vehicle: Once the green "correct" indicator is solid, start the vehicle's engine. If the vehicle does not start immediately, wait 10-15 seconds before trying again. Do not crank for more than 3 seconds per attempt.
- Use BOOST Function (if needed): If the vehicle battery voltage is extremely low (below 9V) and the jump starter does not automatically detect it, press and hold the "BOOST" button on the smart cable unit for 3 seconds until the green light flashes. Then, start the vehicle within 30 seconds.
- Disconnect: Once the vehicle starts, immediately disconnect the black negative (-) clamp first, then the red positive (+) clamp from the vehicle battery. Finally, unplug the smart jumper cables from the jump starter.
