1.2 Powering On

The LEMEGA IR4S can be powered either by the included US Mains Plug and USB cord or by 4 AA batteries (not included) for portability. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the radio and plug it into a wall outlet. If using batteries, ensure they are correctly inserted into the battery compartment.

1.3 Initial Setup & Wi-Fi Connection

Upon first power-on or after a factory reset, the radio will guide you through a setup wizard. This wizard helps configure essential settings such as date, time, timezone, and network connection.

To connect to Wi-Fi:

1. Follow the on-screen prompts from the setup wizard.
2. When prompted for 'Network settings', select 'YES' to keep the network connected.
3. The radio will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your correct Wi-Fi router (SSID) from the list using the navigation knob.
4. Input your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard and the navigation knob. Confirm with 'OK'.
5. The radio will attempt to connect. A 'Connected' message with a green checkmark indicates successful connection.

2.1 Internet Radio

The LEMEGA IR4S provides access to over 30,000 internet radio stations and podcasts worldwide. You can browse by location, popularity, or search for specific stations.

To search for a station:

1. Navigate to the 'Internet Radio' menu.
2. Select 'Search' and use the on-screen keyboard to enter the station name or keywords.
3. Confirm your search. The radio will display matching stations.

The radio also supports HLS with DASH, allowing playback of BBC radio stations.

2.2 FM Digital Radio

Enjoy your favorite local FM stations with superior sound quality. The radio features easy setup and a quick auto-scan function to find stations efficiently.

• Auto-Scan: Use the menu to initiate an auto-scan for available FM stations.
• Presets: Store up to 20 of your favorite FM stations for quick access.

2.3 Bluetooth Speaker Functionality

The LEMEGA IR4S is equipped with dual 2.5-inch full-range drivers, delivering powerful stereo sound. It can function as a Bluetooth speaker, allowing you to stream audio from your smartphone or tablet.

To connect via Bluetooth:

1. Select 'Bluetooth Audio' from the main menu.
2. On your smartphone or tablet, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
3. Select 'LEMEGA IR4S' from the list to pair.
4. Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the radio.

2.4 Presets Management

The IR4S allows you to store and recall your favorite stations using presets.

• Storing Presets (1-2): While listening to a station, press and hold the '1' or '2' button until the display shows 'Preset Stored'.
• Recalling Presets (1-2): Tap the '1' or '2' button to instantly recall your saved stations.
• Storing More Than 3 Stations (Preset 3+): Press and hold the '3+' button until the display shows 'Save to Preset' with a preset list. Use the navigation controls (TUNE- & TUNE+) or the volume knob to select an empty slot and push the knob to save.
• Recalling More Than 3 Stations (Preset 3+): Tap the '3+' button. Use the navigation controls (TUNE- & TUNE+) or the volume knob to tune into the desired station from the list.

2.5 Dual Alarms & Sleep Timer

The radio features dual independent alarms, allowing you to set two different wake-up times. You can configure alarms for working days or weekends, with options for music or buzzer sounds. The system automatically updates time and date from Internet or FM stations.

• Setting Alarms: Access the 'Dual Alarm' option from the main menu to configure alarm times, sources, and recurrence.
• Snooze Function: Press the Snooze button when an alarm sounds to get extra minutes of sleep.
• Sleep Timer: Set a timer for the radio to automatically turn off after a specified duration.

2.6 Headphone Output

For private listening, the LEMEGA IR4S includes a convenient headphone jack. Simply plug in your headphones to enjoy audio without disturbing others.

3.1 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your LEMEGA IR4S, regularly wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish.

3.2 Battery Replacement

If using AA batteries for portable operation, replace them when the battery indicator on the display shows low power. Ensure the radio is powered off or connected to mains power before opening the battery compartment. Insert new batteries, observing the correct polarity.

4.1 Connectivity Issues

• Cannot connect to Wi-Fi: Double-check your Wi-Fi password for accuracy. Ensure the radio is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restarting both the radio and your router may resolve temporary issues.
• Intermittent connection: Ensure your Wi-Fi signal is strong. Obstructions or distance from the router can affect stability.

4.2 Audio Quality

• Poor sound quality: Ensure the volume is not set too high, which can cause distortion. For internet radio, check your internet connection speed. For FM radio, extend the antenna fully.
• No sound: Check the volume level. Ensure the correct source (Internet Radio, FM, Bluetooth) is selected.

4.3 DAB/HD Radio Compatibility

The LEMEGA IR4S supports DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting). Please note that DAB is a digital radio standard primarily used in Europe and other regions. In the United States, the digital radio standard is HD Radio. Therefore, DAB functionality may not be available or useful in areas where HD Radio is the prevalent digital broadcasting standard.

4.4 Spotify Connect Behavior

The built-in Spotify Connect feature allows you to use your smartphone or tablet as a remote control to stream music from your Spotify library to the LEMEGA IR4S. This means the Spotify experience is controlled via your mobile device, and the radio acts as the playback device. It does not function as a standalone Spotify player without a connected mobile device.
