3. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance and safety of your car stereo. It is highly recommended to have this unit installed by a qualified professional. Incorrect installation can lead to damage to the unit, your vehicle, or personal injury.

3.1 Pre-Installation Checks

• Ensure your vehicle is a Ford F-150 model from 2009-2012.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually located on the front panel or a soft button on the screen) to turn the unit on or off. A short press typically mutes or unmutes the audio.

4.2 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto

The unit supports wireless CarPlay for iOS devices and Android Auto for Android devices, allowing seamless integration of your smartphone's features.

• Connection: Enable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your smartphone. On the car stereo, navigate to the CarPlay/Android Auto application. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your phone via Bluetooth. Once paired, the system will automatically establish a Wi-Fi connection for CarPlay/Android Auto.

• Offline Maps: North American offline maps are pre-installed. Access them via the 'Maps' application without an internet connection.
• Online Maps: Connect the unit to a Wi-Fi hotspot (e.g., from your smartphone) to use online navigation services and download additional map data.
• WiFi: The built-in WiFi module allows you to connect to the internet, download apps from the Application Store, and stream content.
