Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Workzone 2-Step Folding Ladder. This manual provides important information regarding the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new step ladder. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and retain it for future reference.
This folding step ladder is designed for household and workshop use, offering a stable and secure platform for tasks requiring elevated access. It features a robust steel frame, non-slip steps, and a safety lock mechanism.
Safety Instructions
Always prioritize safety when using any ladder. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage.
- Maximum Load Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 150 kg (330 lbs). This includes the user and any tools or materials.
- Stable Surface: Always place the ladder on a firm, level, and non-slippery surface. Ensure all four feet are in full contact with the ground.
- Inspect Before Use: Before each use, inspect the ladder for any damage, loose parts, or wear. Do not use a damaged ladder.
- Secure Locking Mechanism: Ensure the safety lock is fully engaged before stepping onto the ladder.
- Maintain Balance: Always face the ladder when ascending or descending. Maintain three points of contact (two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand) at all times.
- Do Not Overreach: Avoid overreaching to the sides. Reposition the ladder closer to your work area instead.
- Top Step: Do not stand on the very top step unless it is explicitly designed as a standing platform. This ladder has two steps; the top step is the highest safe standing platform.
- Footwear: Wear appropriate, non-slip footwear when using the ladder.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the ladder during use and storage.
- Electrical Safety: Do not use the ladder near live electrical wires or equipment.
Setup and Unfolding
Follow these steps to safely unfold and prepare your Workzone 2-Step Folding Ladder for use.
- Place the folded ladder on a flat, stable surface.
- Grasp the top handle or the upper frame of the ladder.
- Gently pull the front and rear sections of the ladder apart until they are fully extended.
- Ensure the safety lock mechanism, located underneath the top step, is fully engaged. This lock prevents accidental folding during use. You should hear or feel a click as it locks into place.

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your ladder.
