Operating Instructions

  1. Before First Use: Clean the hob surface and burner components with a damp cloth. Ensure all packaging materials are removed.
  2. Igniting a Burner:
    • Push down the desired burner knob and turn it counter-clockwise to the maximum flame position (large flame symbol).
    • The automatic electric ignition will activate, producing a spark.
    • Once the flame ignites, hold the knob down for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the knob.
    • If the flame extinguishes, repeat the process.
  3. Adjusting the Flame: After ignition, turn the knob to adjust the flame size. Turn clockwise for a smaller flame (small flame symbol) and counter-clockwise for a larger flame.
  4. Turning Off a Burner: Turn the knob clockwise until it clicks into the 'OFF' position (dot symbol). Ensure the flame is completely extinguished.
  5. Using Cookware: Use flat-bottomed cookware appropriate for the burner size. Ensure the flame does not extend beyond the base of the pan.

Care and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your hob.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, allow the hob to cool completely. Wipe the glass surface with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive glass cleaner.
  • Burner Components: Remove the pan supports, burner caps, and burner rings. Wash them with warm soapy water. Ensure they are completely dry before reassembling.
  • Ignition Plugs: Keep the ignition plugs clean and dry to ensure reliable ignition. Use a small brush if necessary to remove any food residue.
  • Stainless Steel Drip Tray: Clean the drip tray regularly to prevent accumulation of spills and food particles.
  • Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring pads, or harsh chemical cleaners as they can damage the glass and metal surfaces.
