1. Introduction

3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Physical Connection

1. Connect the Extender: Insert one end of the Ethernet cable into the PoE port on the bottom of the WiFi Extender.
2. Connect to PoE Adapter: Insert the other end of the Ethernet cable into the "PoE" port of the provided PoE adapter.
3. Connect to Router/Network: Use a separate Ethernet cable to connect the "LAN" port of the PoE adapter to an available Ethernet port on your main router or network switch.
4. Power On: Plug the PoE adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The indicator light on the extender will illuminate, indicating it is powering on. Wait approximately 40 seconds for the device to start up and the indicator light to flash, signifying it is ready for pairing.

3.2 TUYA APP Configuration

The TODAAIR Pro-Grade Outdoor WiFi Extender is designed for easy setup using the Tuya APP. Ensure the device is powered on and the indicator light is slowly blinking before proceeding.

1. Download Tuya App: Scan the QR code in the user manual or search for "Tuya Smart" in your app store to download and install the application.

8. Copy Router Info (Optional): You can choose to copy your router's 2.4GHz and 5GHz network information to the repeater.
9. 5GHz Band Pairing: If your router supports 5GHz, locate the repeater's 5GHz Wi-Fi in your phone's Wi-Fi list (e.g., "todaair2.4_Ext_5G") and connect to it. Enter the password. The 5GHz band will then be successfully paired.

4. Operation

Once successfully configured, the TODAAIR WiFi Extender will broadcast an extended WiFi signal. Devices within its range can connect to the extended network for improved connectivity.

• Network Name: The extended network will typically have the same name as your main router's network with "_Ext" or similar suffix (e.g., "YourWiFi_Ext_2.4G", "YourWiFi_Ext_5G").
• Password: Use the same password as your main router's network.
• Remote Management: Utilize the Tuya App for remote monitoring of signal strength, device reboots, and advanced settings adjustments.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
• Firmware Updates: Check the Tuya App regularly for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Environmental Protection: While IP44 rated, avoid direct exposure to extreme conditions beyond the specified operating temperature range (-20°C to 50°C) for prolonged periods.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Power/Indicator Light Off:

  - Ensure the PoE adapter is securely plugged into a working power outlet.

  - Verify the Ethernet cable is correctly connected to the PoE port on the extender and the PoE adapter.

• Cannot Connect to Tuya App:

  - Make sure the extender's indicator light is slowly blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode. If not, perform a reset.

  - Ensure your phone is connected to the correct 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network of your main router during the initial setup steps.

  - Confirm you are connecting to the extender's temporary hotspot when prompted by the app.

  - Place the extender closer to your main router during the initial pairing process to ensure a strong signal.

• Poor Signal/Slow Speed:

  - Relocate the extender to a more central location between your router and the desired coverage area, ensuring it's within range of your main router's signal.

  - Check for physical obstructions (thick walls, metal objects) that might interfere with the signal.

  - Ensure the extender is mounted correctly and not obstructed.

• Resetting the Device:

  - Locate the reset button on the device (refer to the "Easy Setup & Stylish Design" image in the Setup section). Use a pin or paperclip to press and hold the reset button for approximately 10-15 seconds until the indicator light changes, then release. The device will restart and enter pairing mode.
