Setup and Assembly

Assembly of the BONTEC Mobile Standing Desk is designed to be quick and straightforward. Follow these general steps:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches.
2. Attach Casters to Base: Secure the four lockable swivel casters to the base frame using the provided hardware. Ensure they are firmly attached.
3. Assemble Main Support Column: Connect the main support column to the base frame.
4. Install Desktop: Attach the desktop surface to the top of the main support column.
5. Add Storage Features: Install the adjustable storage base, pegboard, and removable metal hooks as desired.
6. Final Checks: Ensure all screws are tightened and the desk is stable before use.

Operating Instructions

Height Adjustment

The desk features a pneumatic lift system for smooth and effortless height adjustments, allowing you to transition between sitting and standing positions.

• To Raise: Locate the foot pedal at the base of the desk. Step on the foot pedal to lift the desktop automatically to your desired height (range: 28.9" to 43.6").
• To Lower: Step on the foot pedal and gently press down on the desktop to lower it to your preferred sitting height.

Desktop Tilt Function

The desktop can be tilted up to 90 degrees, providing an ergonomic angle for various tasks such as drawing, reading, or using a laptop.

• To Tilt: Release the locking mechanism located beneath the desktop. Adjust the desktop to your desired angle (0-90 degrees).
• To Secure: Re-engage the locking mechanism to hold the desktop firmly in place.
• A laptop stopper is included to prevent devices from sliding off when the desktop is tilted.

Mobility and Locking Wheels

The desk is equipped with four 360-degree lockable swivel casters for easy movement and stability.

• To Move: Unlock all four casters by flipping the lever on each wheel. The desk can then be easily rolled to any location.
• To Secure: Once the desk is in the desired position, lock all four casters by flipping the lever back. This prevents unintended movement.
• The low-profile base (3.3" height) allows the desk to slide under sofas or other furniture, optimizing space.
• Adjustable Wheel Height for Uneven Floors: Loosen the nut on the caster, adjust the caster to the desired height to level your desk, and then tighten the nut.

Storage Features

The desk includes an adjustable storage base and two removable metal hooks for organizing your workspace.

• Adjustable Storage Base: The base can be adjusted from 6.3" to 7.87" wide and supports up to 55 lbs, suitable for a CPU tower, books, or other items. It includes a pegboard that can be hidden when not in use.
• Removable Metal Hooks: Two hooks are provided, each supporting up to 22 lbs, perfect for hanging headphones, bags, or cables.

Maintenance

Proper care will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BONTEC Mobile Standing Desk.

• Cleaning: Wipe the desk surfaces with a damp cloth to remove dust and spills. For stubborn marks, use a mild cleaning solution and then wipe dry immediately with a clean, dry cloth.
• Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
• Caster Care: Keep the casters free of debris (hair, dust, etc.) to ensure smooth rolling.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your desk, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• Desk is wobbly: Ensure all assembly screws are securely tightened. Check that the casters are locked when the desk is stationary. Adjust wheel height if on an uneven floor.
• Height adjustment is difficult or stuck: Ensure no objects are obstructing the pneumatic lift mechanism. Verify that the foot pedal is fully engaged or disengaged. Do not overload the desktop beyond its weight capacity.
• Desktop does not tilt smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the tilting mechanism. Ensure the locking mechanism is fully disengaged before attempting to tilt.
• Casters are not rolling smoothly: Clean any debris from the wheels. Ensure the locking mechanism on the casters is disengaged.
