6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your hot pot cooker, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cooker does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; power cord not properly connected. | Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the cooker and a working electrical outlet. Test the outlet with another appliance. |
| Cooker displays an error message or shuts off during high-heat cooking (e.g., searing). | Overheating protection activated. The cooker may detect excessively high temperatures, especially during dry heating or when attempting to sear at very high heat without sufficient liquid. | Turn off the cooker and unplug it. Allow it to cool down completely. Ensure there is adequate liquid in the pot for the selected cooking mode. Avoid dry heating at high temperatures. Restart after cooling. |
| Display is difficult to read (e.g., white text on white background). | Environmental lighting conditions; specific design of the display. | Adjust ambient lighting or viewing angle. While the display design may be fixed, ensuring good lighting can improve visibility. |
| Food sticks to the bottom of the pot. | Insufficient oil/liquid; cooking at too high a temperature; damaged non-stick coating. | Ensure sufficient oil or liquid is used. Adjust temperature settings. If the non-stick coating is damaged, contact customer support. |
| Unusual odors or smoke during first use. | Residual manufacturing oils burning off. | This is normal for the first few uses. Ensure good ventilation. If odors persist or smoke is excessive, discontinue use and contact customer support. |
