Package Contents

Your PerGar bed frame is shipped in two packages. Please ensure all components are present before beginning assembly.

Setup and Assembly

Assembly is required for this bed frame. It is recommended to have two people for assembly. Please follow the included step-by-step instructions carefully.

1. Unpack Components: Carefully unpack all parts and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Verify all parts listed in the package contents are present.
2. Assemble Headboard: Attach the side supports to the main headboard panel. Ensure the reading lamps are securely fastened and their wiring is not pinched.
3. Assemble Footboard and Side Rails: Connect the side rails to the footboard.
4. Attach Headboard to Frame: Connect the assembled headboard to the side rails.
5. Install Hydraulic Mechanism: Carefully install the hydraulic lift system according to the specific diagrams in your manual. Ensure all pivot points are correctly aligned and secured. Caution: The hydraulic system can be under pressure. Follow instructions precisely.
6. Install Slatted Base: Place the slatted bed base onto the frame and secure it.
7. Final Checks: Tighten all screws and bolts. Ensure the bed frame is stable and level. Test the hydraulic lift system gently before placing a mattress.

Operating Instructions

Hydraulic Storage System:

To access the storage space, gently lift the mattress platform from the foot end of the bed. The hydraulic mechanism will assist in lifting and holding the platform in an open position. To close, gently push the platform down until it rests securely on the frame. Ensure no objects obstruct the closing mechanism.

Integrated Reading Lamps:

The reading lamps are integrated into the headboard. Locate the switch on each lamp or on the headboard itself to turn them on or off. Ensure the bed is connected to a power source for the lamps to function.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the bed frame with a damp cloth. For velvet upholstery, use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment to remove dust. Spot clean spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth and mild soap, then blot dry. Avoid harsh chemicals.
• Hardware Check: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability.
• Hydraulic System: Do not apply excessive force to the hydraulic system. If it becomes difficult to operate, ensure there are no obstructions and that the mechanism is clean. Do not attempt to lubricate or repair the hydraulic cylinders yourself; contact customer support if issues persist.
• Reading Lamps: Ensure the power cord is not damaged or pinched. If a bulb needs replacement (if applicable), refer to the lamp's specific instructions or contact customer support.

Troubleshooting

• Bed feels unstable or wobbly:
  • Check all assembly hardware (screws, bolts) and tighten them securely.
  • Ensure the bed is on a level surface.
• Hydraulic lift system is difficult to operate or does not stay open:
  • Ensure no items are obstructing the mechanism.
  • Verify that the mattress weight is within the recommended range for the hydraulic system.
  • If the issue persists, contact customer support. Do not attempt to force the mechanism.
• Reading lamps are not working:
  • Check if the bed is properly plugged into a working power outlet.
  • Ensure the lamp switches are in the "on" position.
  • If the lamps use replaceable bulbs, check if the bulbs are securely screwed in or need replacement.
