5.1 Basic Rice Cooking

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One cup of uncooked rice typically yields two cups of cooked rice. The maximum capacity is 6 cups uncooked (12 cups cooked).
  2. Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
  3. Add Rice to Inner Pot: Place the washed rice into the nonstick inner pot.
  4. Add Water: Refer to the water level markings inside the inner pot. For white rice, align the water level with the corresponding marking for the number of cups of rice added. For other rice types, consult specific recipes or the manual's cooking chart.
  5. Place Inner Pot: Ensure the inner pot is dry on the outside, then place it securely into the main unit. Close the lid firmly.
  6. Select Cooking Mode: Plug in the rice cooker. Use the 'MENU' button to cycle through the available cooking modes (e.g., WHITE/SUSHI, BROWN/GABA, QUINOA, PORRIDGE, STEEL-CUT OATS, STEAM, STORED RICE). The selected mode will be displayed on the LCD.
  7. Start Cooking: Press the 'START' button. The cooker will begin the cooking process. The Fuzzy Logic technology will automatically adjust cooking time and temperature for optimal results.
  8. Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to 'WARM' mode to keep the rice at an ideal serving temperature.

  • Use the 'TIME' or 'MY MODE' buttons to adjust the desired delay time.
