5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your air conditioner.
5.1 Air Filter Cleaning
The air filter is washable and tool-free for easy maintenance. Clean the air filter at least once every two months for better performance and less operational noise.
- Remove both grills from the back of the unit.
- If the filter is stubborn with dirt, immerse in lukewarm water and rinse a couple of times.
- Let the filter dry before re-attaching to the main unit.
5.2 Water Drainage
The unit features a self-evaporation system that typically evaporates most condensed water through the exhaust hose, reducing the need for manual draining. However, in high humidity environments or when using the dehumidifier mode continuously, manual drainage may be required.
- To manually drain, remove the rubber plug from the lower drain outlet and place a container below to collect water.
- For continuous drainage in dehumidifier mode, connect the provided drain hose to the lower drain outlet and direct it into a suitable container or floor drain. Ensure the hose is not kinked or bent to avoid water spillage.
