4. Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your car stereo. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.

4.1 Pre-Installation Notes

• For installation, you may need an installation frame kit with an inner size of 178 x 102mm, a special ISO harness, an amplifier adapter, or a CANbus decoder, depending on your car's specific requirements.
• The unit does not support factory car GPS antenna, backup rear camera, Bluetooth, USB, or microphone. Only JOYING accessories are supported.
• Ensure the vehicle's power is disconnected before starting installation.

4.2 Mounting the Unit

The included double din cage, left & right brackets, and reinforced shims are designed to secure the unit in your vehicle's dashboard. The fixing position of the left & right brackets can be extended or telescoped to achieve the best fixing position, adapting to a wider range of vehicles.

4.3 Wiring Connections

Refer to the included Installation Manual and the rear panel diagram for detailed wiring instructions. Connect the ISO cable, USB cables, GPS antenna, WiFi antenna, 4G antennas, and external microphone as indicated.

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off and Fast Boot

Once the car key is inserted and turned, the unit will start up and enter the user interface within 2 seconds. The first boot-up may take approximately 30-40 seconds.

5.2 User Interface and Navigation

The unit features an intuitive Android 13 interface. Navigate through applications using the touchscreen. The main screen provides quick access to navigation, media, and communication functions.

5.3 Split-Screen Multitasking

To use split-screen mode:

1. Tap the recent apps icon.
2. Find the app you want to run in split-screen, click the app icon to bring up the split-screen button, and tap it.
3. The first app you selected will display on the left side; then choose the second app from recent apps to display on the right.

5.4 Steering Wheel Control (SWC)

The unit supports steering wheel controls, allowing you to switch songs, change radio channels, and adjust volume for a safer driving experience. For vehicles with a CAN system, an extra CANbus cable may be required to enable this feature.

6. Connectivity

6.1 4G Module

Insert a SIM card into the designated slot for internet access. Note that the built-in 4G module supports data for internet access but does not support making phone calls or sending SMS messages directly from the unit.

6.2 Wi-Fi

The unit includes an independent WiFi antenna for stable signal quality and fast internet access. It supports 802.11a/b/g/n/AC standards on 2.4GHz and 5GHz spectral bands.

6.3 Bluetooth

Connect your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled devices for hands-free calling and audio streaming.

6.4 GPS Navigation

Utilize the precise GPS engine and included GPS antenna for real-time navigation. The unit supports offline maps; you can download map data for specific areas when connected to the internet and use them offline. Mobile phone map data can also be synchronized via Carplay or Android Auto.

7. Audio and Video

7.1 High-Quality Sound Output

The unit features a TDA7851 DSP chip, a 48-band graphic equalizer, and 4x50W maximum output power for enhanced audio quality. It provides 4 audio outputs, 1 subwoofer output, and a center channel output.

7.2 Optical Fiber and Coaxial Digital Output

For external amplifiers with Optical Fiber or Coaxial Digital Input, these outputs allow for direct digital audio transmission, ensuring optimal sound quality.

7.3 HDMI Output

The HDMI output is a full digital image and sound interface that can send uncompressed audio and video signals. It supports synchronized audio and video output without manual adjustment. This can be used for projection screen displays for passengers or on-screen displays with 1080P resolution without stuttering.

Note: The HDMI cable is not included.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Cooling System

The unit incorporates a dual heat sink design for superior heat dissipation, improved temperature control, and enhanced performance stability. You can set warning values for CPU temperature and radio volume. If these values are exceeded, the fan will automatically activate to prevent overheating.

8.2 General Care

• Clean the screen with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
