General Safety Precautions:

  • Ensure the appliance is installed by a qualified technician in accordance with local regulations.
  • Do not operate the hob if the ceramic glass surface is cracked or broken. Disconnect from power immediately.
  • Avoid placing metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons, and lids on the hob surface as they can become hot.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the hob, as they can scratch the surface.
  • Always supervise cooking, especially when using high heat settings or cooking with oil/fat.

4. Setup & Installation

Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician or technician. Ensure the power supply is disconnected before beginning installation.

Unpacking:

Carefully remove the hob from its packaging. Check for any damage. Retain packaging for transport if needed.

Required Cutout Dimensions:

The hob is designed for built-in installation. Ensure your countertop has a cutout of 56 cm x 49 cm (Width x Depth).

Electrical Connection:

  • The appliance requires a fixed electrical connection to a 230V power supply.
  • The total power consumption is 6700W.
  • Refer to the wiring diagram provided with the product and on the appliance itself.
  • Connect the N (Blue/Grey), L (Brown/Black), and Green/Yellow (Ground) wires correctly.

Mounting:

  • Apply the foam sealing strip around the edge of the hob to prevent liquid ingress.
  • Place the hob into the countertop cutout.
  • Secure the hob from underneath using the provided mounting clips and plastic feet.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the control panel before operating the hob.

Power On/Off:

Press and hold the On/Off button to turn the hob on or off.

Selecting a Cooking Zone:

After powering on, select the desired cooking zone by touching its corresponding zone selection control.

Adjusting Power Levels:

Once a zone is selected, use the '+' and '-' touch controls to adjust the power level from 1 (lowest) to 9 (highest).

Using the Timer:

  • Select a cooking zone.
  • Press the Timer control.
  • Use '+' and '-' to set the desired cooking time (1-99 minutes). The zone will automatically turn off when the timer expires.

Pause Function:

Press the Pause button to temporarily stop all active cooking zones. Press it again to resume cooking with the previous settings.

Keep Warm Function:

Select a cooking zone and activate the Keep Warm function to maintain food at a low, serving temperature.

Expandable Double Ring Zone:

One of the cooking zones features an expandable double ring. To activate the larger ring, select the zone and press the double zone control button. This allows for more efficient heating of larger pots and pans.

Child Lock:

7. Troubleshooting

Common Issues:

  • Hob not turning on: Check if the appliance is properly connected to the power supply. Ensure the child lock is not activated.
  • Cooking zone not heating: Verify that the correct zone is selected and the power level is set above '0'. Check for any error codes on the display.
  • 'H' displayed after use: This indicates residual heat. The zone is still hot. This is a normal safety feature.
