4.1. Selecting Installation Location
Choose a location that meets the following criteria:
- No heat source or steam source nearby.
- No obstructions around the inlet and outlet of indoor and outdoor units.
- No flammable, explosive, or corrosive gases.
- The wall for the indoor unit should be hard, flat, and firm to avoid vibration and noise.

Image: Diagram showing recommended clearances for indoor unit installation: >15cm to ceiling, >20cm to obstacles, 230-260cm from floor.

Image: Diagram showing recommended clearances for outdoor unit installation: >20cm to top obstruction, >10cm for air in side, >30cm to side obstructions, >200cm for air out side.
4.2. Fixing Mounting Plate
Place the mounting plate on the wall and use a level to ensure it is horizontal. Punch holes in the wall and use expansion screw kits to firmly fix the plate. Do not use nails.
4.3. Drilling Wall Hole
After determining where the pipe will go through the wall, drill a hole. The wall hole should be inclined outward by 5-10 degrees, with a diameter of 60-80mm. Use an anti-dust bag to avoid dust. Avoid wires, plumbing, gas, and other sensitive components.
4.4. Installation of Connection Cable
Pass the power cable out from the back of the indoor unit and fix it on the terminal board. Fix the cable with a clamp. According to the piping direction, remove the knock-out panel with a knife and remove burrs to prevent the drain pipe from being broken.
4.5. Connection of Refrigerant Piping
Use both hands to turn the pipe in the desired direction. It is forbidden to operate with one hand, which will make the tube deform and rupture. Aim at the pipe center, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then tighten the taper nut with 2 wrenches. It's better to use a torque wrench to tighten the taper nut. The required torque is shown in the table below:
| The size of pipe (mm) | Torque (N.m) |
|---|---|
| φ6/φ 6.35 | 15-25 |
| φ9/φ 9.52 | 35-40 |
| φ12/φ 12.7 | 45-60 |
| φ15.88 | 73-78 |
| φ19.05 | 75-80 |
4.6. Install the Drain Hose
Connect the drain hose with the water outlet pipe, and fix it firmly with adhesive tape. The length should be more than 5cm to prevent water leakage. When placing the drain hose, ensure it is sloped down and never put the end of the drain hose in the water.
4.7. Wrap the Piping
Wrap the refrigerant piping, wires, and drain pipe with wrapping tape to ensure insulation and protection.
4.8. Mount Indoor Unit
Put the refrigerant piping out of the wall hole. Put the indoor unit on the mounting plate. Push the lower part of the indoor unit until a 'click' sound is heard to make sure the indoor unit is firmly fixed to the wall. To protect piping and wires, a pipe protecting ring shall be installed sealed with putty.
4.9. Install Outdoor Unit Bracket
If installing the air conditioner in a higher place, the operator should wear a safety belt and helmet. Use a level to ensure the bracket is horizontal and vertical. Use at least 6 expansion bolts to make sure brackets are fixed firmly on the wall.
4.10. Fix Outdoor Unit
Put the outdoor unit onto the brackets. Use 4 screws to fix the feet of the outdoor unit.
4.11. Connect Refrigerant Piping (Outdoor)
Remove the nut from the stop valves. Aim at the pipe center of the stop valve, tighten the taper nut with fingers, then tighten the taper nut with 2 wrenches. It's better to use a torque wrench to tighten the taper nut, the required torque is shown in the table above (refer to section 4.5).
4.12. Fix Cables (Outdoor)
Remove the electrical box cover. Fix cables to the terminal board according to the wiring diagram on the E-parts cover. Must follow the wiring diagram inside the box cover. Use a clamp to fix cables. Put the electrical box cover back.
4.13. Vacuumize
Before vacuumizing, check all the nuts of the indoor and outdoor unit are tightened. Connect the stop valve, charging hose, manifold valve, and vacuum pump as shown in the diagram below. Turn on handle Lo to vacuumize. Vacuumize for 15 minutes at least, making sure the value on the pressure gauge is ≤0.1MPa. Keep pressure for 3-5 minutes after vacuumizing, make sure pressure springback ≤0.05MPa. Open 1/4 liquid valve, and remove charging hose. Open all the liquid valves and gas valves. Screw all the caps and tighten up.
| Length of connection pipe | Added or reduced refrigerant | Amount of refrigerant for the unit |
|---|---|---|
| <3m | CC≤12000Btu reduce 20g/m | ≤1Kg |
| CC≥18000Btu reduce 50g/m | ≤2Kg | |
| 3-5m | Not needed | |
| 5-15m | CC≤12000Btu add 20g/m | ≤1Kg |
| CC≥18000Btu add 30g/m | ≤2Kg | |

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, perform a trial operation and check for common problems:
- Electrical Safety Check: Use a multimeter to test possible leaking positions of the outdoor unit shell during trial operation. If there is electricity leakage, turn off power immediately and conduct further examination.
- Water Drain and Leakage Test: Pour 500ml water along the evaporator for about 20 seconds. Check if water drain can normally flow out and if any water leakage is around the indoor unit.
- For other issues, consult the detailed troubleshooting section in the full user manual or contact customer support.
