4. General Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Osight S and Osight X sights, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the lenses. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning solution can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
  • Housing: Wipe the sight's housing with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Battery: Replace batteries as needed. Ensure battery caps are securely tightened to maintain water resistance.
  • Storage: Store the sights in a dry, cool environment when not in use.
  • Water Resistance: The Osight S is IPX7 waterproof. While the Osight X is robust, avoid prolonged submersion unless explicitly stated for that model. Always ensure battery caps are sealed.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Osight S or Osight X sights, consider the following common solutions:

  • Reticle Not Visible: Check the battery. Ensure it is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Adjust brightness settings.
  • Reticle Flickering: This may indicate a low battery. Replace the battery.
  • Inaccurate Aim: Ensure the sight is securely mounted and properly zeroed. Re-zero the sight if necessary.
  • Fogging: If fogging occurs internally, contact customer support. External fogging can be wiped away.

For persistent issues not resolved by these steps, please contact Osight customer support.
