3. Setup and First Use
3.1 Unpacking
Remove all packaging materials, labels, and protective covers from the iron. Ensure no parts are missing or damaged. Retain packaging for potential future transport or returns.
3.2 Filling the Water Tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Set the steam control lever to the "Dry Ironing" position (no steam).
- Open the water filling inlet.
- Fill the water tank with tap water up to the "MAX" level indicator. Do not overfill.
- Close the water filling inlet securely.
Note: For optimal performance and to prevent mineral buildup, distilled or demineralized water is recommended, especially in areas with hard water.
3.3 Initial Heating
During the first use, a slight odor or light smoke may occur. This is normal and will dissipate quickly. It is recommended to iron an old cloth for a few minutes to clean the soleplate before ironing garments.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Temperature Selection
- Plug the iron into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric type. Refer to the fabric care labels on your garments.
- The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating. It will turn off when the selected temperature is reached.
4.2 Dry Ironing
For dry ironing, ensure the steam control lever is set to the "Dry Ironing" position (no steam). Select the appropriate temperature and wait for the indicator light to turn off before beginning.
4.3 Steam Ironing
Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics, except those marked "do not steam."
- Fill the water tank as described in Section 3.2.
- Set the temperature control dial to a steam-compatible setting (usually indicated by steam symbols on the dial).
- Once the indicator light turns off, adjust the steam control lever to the desired steam output.
- Begin ironing.

4.4 Steam Boost and Spray Function
- Steam Boost: Press the steam button for an extra burst of steam to tackle stubborn creases. Wait a few seconds between bursts to allow the iron to reheat.
- Spray Function: Press the spray button to emit a fine mist of water, useful for dampening dry areas or difficult wrinkles.

4.5 Vertical Steaming
The iron can be used for vertical steaming to refresh hanging garments, curtains, or delicate fabrics.
- Hang the garment on a hanger.
- Set the iron to the maximum temperature setting.
- Hold the iron vertically a few centimeters away from the fabric.
- Press the steam button repeatedly to release bursts of steam.

4.6 Auto-Off Safety Feature
For safety, the iron is equipped with an auto-off function. If left motionless:
- Horizontally (on its soleplate): The iron will turn off after approximately 30 seconds.
- Vertically (on its heel rest): The iron will turn off after approximately 8 minutes.
To reactivate the iron, simply move it. The indicator light will flash until the iron reaches the set temperature again.

4.7 Anti-Drip Protection
The anti-drip system prevents water from dripping from the soleplate when the iron's temperature is too low for steam production. This helps protect your fabrics from water stains.

5. Maintenance and Storage
5.1 Cleaning the Iron
- Always unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary. Do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals.
- Clean the exterior of the iron with a soft, damp cloth.
5.2 Anti-Calc Function (Self-Cleaning)
The iron features an integrated anti-calc system to reduce mineral buildup. For optimal performance, perform the self-cleaning function regularly (e.g., once a month, depending on water hardness).
- Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
- Plug in the iron and set the temperature to maximum.
- Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
- Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
- Push and hold the self-clean button (if available, or refer to specific model instructions for self-clean process). Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying away mineral deposits.
- Gently shake the iron until all water is expelled.
- Plug the iron back in and let it heat up to dry the soleplate. Unplug and store once cool.
5.3 Storage
After each use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron upright on its heel rest in a safe, dry place.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in; power outlet fault; auto-off activated. | Check power connection; test outlet with another appliance; move the iron to reactivate. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank empty; temperature too low for steam; steam control set to "dry"; calc buildup. | Fill water tank; set higher temperature; adjust steam control; perform anti-calc cleaning. |
| Water drips from the soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam; water tank overfilled; anti-drip system malfunction. | Increase temperature; do not overfill water tank; if problem persists, contact support. |
| White flakes or brown stains on garments. | Mineral deposits (calc) in the water tank/steam vents. | Perform anti-calc cleaning; use distilled water. |
