4. Setup Guide

4.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the camera using the provided USB-C charging cable and a 5V/2A power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will change color when fully charged. This ensures the battery has sufficient power for initial setup and solar charging.

4.2 App Installation and Account Creation

Download the Cooau Cam app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android) or by scanning the QR code below. Follow the in-app instructions to create an account and log in.

4.3 Device Pairing

1. Open the Cooau Cam app and tap 'Add Device' or the '+' icon.
2. Select your camera model (C5) from the list.
3. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled. The app will automatically scan for the camera via Bluetooth for quick pairing.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the camera to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.
5. Once connected, the camera will indicate successful pairing, and you can begin live viewing.

4.4 Mounting the Camera

The camera is designed for wall mounting. Choose a location with optimal sunlight exposure for the solar panel and a clear view of the area you wish to monitor. Ensure the camera is within range of your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

1. Position the mounting bracket against the desired surface and mark the drill holes.
2. Drill holes and insert wall plugs if necessary.
3. Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
4. Attach the camera unit to the mounting bracket. The integrated solar panel is optimally tilted to maximize solar power reception, so no manual adjustment of the panel angle is required after mounting.

5. Operating the Camera

5.1 Live View and Playback

Open the Cooau Cam app to access the live feed from your camera. You can view real-time video, take screenshots, and record manually. To review past events, navigate to the 'History' or 'Cloud' section within the app to access recorded footage.

5.2 PTZ Control

Use the Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) controls in the app to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle. Swipe on the live view screen or use the directional arrows to pan horizontally (360°) and tilt vertically (115°).

5.3 Two-Way Audio

Tap the microphone icon in the live view interface to activate two-way audio. You can speak through your phone, and your voice will be projected through the camera's speaker. Similarly, you can hear audio from the camera's surroundings.

5.4 Motion Detection Settings

The camera features AI-driven PIR detection. In the app's settings, you can customize motion detection sensitivity, set detection zones, and enable specific human identification to minimize false alarms. You can also set schedules for when motion detection is active.

5.5 Notification Alerts

When motion is detected, the camera can trigger sound and light alarms and send instant notifications to your smartphone. Ensure app notifications are enabled in your phone's settings to receive timely alerts.

6.1 Cleaning

Regularly clean the camera lens and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear image quality and efficient solar charging. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6.2 Battery Care

The integrated solar panel is designed to keep the battery charged under normal sunlight conditions. In prolonged periods of low light (e.g., continuous cloudy days), the battery level may decrease. If the battery level becomes critically low, you may need to manually charge the camera using the USB-C cable.

• Camera Offline: Check Wi-Fi signal strength at the camera's location. Ensure the camera is powered on and fully charged. Restart the camera and your Wi-Fi router.
