5. Installation and Setup

5.1 Placement

Place the dehumidifier on a level, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 12 inches of clearance around all sides of the unit for proper air circulation. Avoid placing the unit directly against walls or furniture.

5.2 Power Connection

Connect the power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet meets the power requirements of the unit (refer to the specifications section).

5.3 Drainage Setup (Gravity Drainage)

The Remois X70 uses a gravity drainage system. To set up continuous drainage:

1. Locate the drain outlet on the unit.
2. Connect one end of the provided 6.56 ft drain hose to the drain outlet. Ensure a secure connection to prevent leaks.
3. Direct the other end of the hose to a suitable drain location, such as a floor drain, sink, or outside. Ensure the hose is sloped downwards to allow water to flow by gravity.
4. Avoid kinks or blockages in the drain hose.

5.4 Optional Accessories (Sold Separately)

• Remote Control: An optional remote control system is available for monitoring and adjusting humidity settings without direct access to the unit.

6. Operation

6.1 Control Panel

6.2 Basic Operation

1. Power On/Off: Press the Power button to turn the unit on or off.
2. Set Desired Humidity: Use the Up/Down arrows to adjust the target humidity level (e.g., 45% - 55% RH is generally recommended). The unit will operate until the set humidity is reached, then cycle off.
3. GPP Mode: Press the GPP button to view the current humidity reading.
4. Timer Function: Press the Timer button to set a 0-24 hour timer for automatic shut-off. Use the Up/Down arrows to adjust the duration.
5. Unit Conversion: Press the Unit button to switch between temperature display units (Fahrenheit/Celsius).

6.3 Auto Defrost

The unit is equipped with an automatic defrost function. If frost builds up on the evaporator coils, the unit will temporarily stop dehumidifying and run the fan to melt the frost. This process is automatic and ensures efficient operation in cooler conditions.

6.4 Memory Restart

In the event of a power interruption, the dehumidifier will automatically restart with its previous settings once power is restored.

7.1 Cleaning the Air Filter

3. Remove the filter.
4. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinstallation. Do not use a dishwasher.
5. Reinsert the dry filter into the unit and close the access panel.
