4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the device, slide the pendulum lock switch to the 'UNLOCKED' position. The laser lines will activate. To power off, slide the pendulum lock switch back to the 'LOCKED' position. This also locks the pendulum for safe transport.
4.2 Self-Leveling Mode
When the pendulum lock switch is in the 'UNLOCKED' position, the device enters self-leveling mode. It automatically levels within a range of ±3°. If the device is tilted beyond this range, the laser lines will flash rapidly to indicate it is out of level. Adjust the device's position until the lines stop flashing and become steady.
4.3 Manual Mode
To activate manual mode, slide the pendulum lock switch to the 'LOCKED' position. Then, press and hold the power button (often labeled with a lightbulb icon) for a few seconds. In manual mode, the laser lines are locked and can be projected at any angle. The laser lines will flash every 5 seconds to remind you that the device is not self-leveling.
4.4 Pulse Mode
Pulse mode is designed for outdoor use or when working over longer distances with a laser receiver. To activate pulse mode, short press the pulse mode button (often labeled 'Pv' or with a pulse icon). The indicator light will illuminate, and the laser lines may appear dimmer to the naked eye. In pulse mode, the working range can extend up to 165 ft (50m) with a compatible Huepar laser receiver (LR-6RG, LR-8RG).

Figure 4: The laser level operating in pulse mode, demonstrating its extended range capability when paired with a Huepar laser receiver for outdoor or long-distance applications.
4.5 Brightness Adjustment
The D011CP features 3 brightness levels. Short press the brightness adjustment button (often labeled with a lightbulb icon) to cycle through the available brightness settings (100%, 70%, 50%) to suit different lighting conditions.

4.6 Line Switching
After powering on, the device projects a 360° horizontal line and a 130° vertical line by default. Short press the 'H' button to switch the horizontal line ON/OFF. Short press the 'V' button to switch the vertical line ON/OFF. You can use both lines simultaneously for cross-line projection.

5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the laser windows and the device body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in its carry bag in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use. Ensure the pendulum lock switch is in the 'LOCKED' position during storage and transport.
- Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the battery regularly, even if the device is not in active use.
6. Troubleshooting
- Laser lines flashing rapidly: The device is out of its self-leveling range. Adjust the device's position until the lines become steady.
- Laser lines dim or invisible: Check the brightness setting and adjust if necessary. Ensure you are wearing the purple laser glasses for enhanced visibility. For outdoor use or long distances, activate pulse mode with a compatible laser receiver.
- Device not powering on: Check the battery level. Recharge the battery if it is low. Ensure the pendulum lock switch is in the 'UNLOCKED' position.
