5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Earbuds and Case

Before first use, fully charge the earbuds and the charging case. Place the earbuds into the charging case and connect the USB charging cable to the case and a power source. The indicator light on the case will show charging status.

5.2. Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure the earbuds are charged.
2. Open the charging case lid. The earbuds will automatically enter pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth.
4. Search for available devices and select "SANSUI W28" from the list.
5. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone, and the indicator light on the case may change.

5.3. Fitting the Earbuds

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Touch Controls

The SANSUI W28 earbuds feature touch-sensitive controls on each earbud. Refer to the diagram below for specific functions:

• Volume + (R): Single tap on the Right earbud.
• Volume - (L): Single tap on the Left earbud.
• Pause / Play (L/R): Double tap on either earbud.
• Answer Calls / Hang Up (L/R): Double tap on either earbud.
• Previous Song (L): Triple tap on the Left earbud.
• Next Song (R): Triple tap on the Right earbud.
• Voice Assistant (L): Long press the Left earbud for 2 seconds.
• ANC ON / ANC OFF / Transparency Mode (R): Long press the Right earbud for 2 seconds to cycle through modes.
• Reject Calls (L/R): Long press either earbud for 2 seconds.
• Power ON (L/R): Long press either earbud for 3 seconds.
• Power OFF (L/R): Long press either earbud for 5 seconds.

6.2. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Transparency Mode

The SANSUI W28 earbuds offer three listening modes:

• ANC Mode: Reduces external noise by up to -52dB, ideal for noisy environments like subways or airplanes.
• Transparency Mode: Allows you to hear your surroundings clearly without removing the earbuds, useful for conversations or being aware of traffic.
• Normal Mode: Standard audio playback without noise cancellation or transparency features.

Cycle through these modes by long-pressing the Right earbud for 2 seconds.

6.3. In-Ear Detection

The earbuds feature a smart light sensor that detects when they are in your ears. Music playback will automatically pause when an earbud is removed and resume when placed back in your ear.

7.1. Cleaning

Regularly clean the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Gently wipe the ear tips and charging contacts to remove any debris.

7.2. Storage

When not in use, store the earbuds in their charging case to protect them and keep them charged. Store the case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

7.3. Water Resistance

The SANSUI W28 earbuds are IPX4 waterproof, meaning they are resistant to splashes of water from any direction. This makes them suitable for workouts and light rain. They are not designed for swimming or submersion in water.

8. Troubleshooting

• Earbuds not pairing: Ensure both earbuds are in the charging case, then open the lid to initiate pairing mode. If issues persist, perform a factory reset.
• No sound from one earbud: Place both earbuds back in the case, close the lid, then open it again. Check if both are connected to your device.
• Low volume or poor sound quality: Adjust the volume on your device and the earbuds. Ensure ear tips are correctly sized and seated for a proper seal. Clean any debris from the earbud nozzles.
• Earbuds not charging: Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the case and the power source. Check for any debris in the charging port or on the earbud contacts.
• Factory Reset: Open the charging case lid, then long-press the button under the charging case for 5 seconds. When the external blue indicator light on the case flashes quickly 5 times and the earbuds power off while disconnecting from Bluetooth, the reset is successful.
