4. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ThinkRider XXPRO trainer.

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the trainer regularly with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove sweat and dust. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
  • Chain and Cassette: Keep your bicycle's chain and the trainer's cassette clean and lubricated. A dirty drivetrain can affect performance and increase wear.
  • Connections: Periodically check all physical connections, including the base screws and any power cables, to ensure they are secure.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the trainer in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ThinkRider XXPRO trainer, refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Power/No Indicator Light: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the trainer and a working power outlet (if using external power). If operating self-powered, ensure sufficient pedaling to generate power.
  • Connectivity Issues (Bluetooth/ANT+):
    • Ensure the trainer is powered on.
    • Check that Bluetooth/ANT+ is enabled on your device (computer, phone, GPS unit).
    • Move your device closer to the trainer.
    • Close and reopen the cycling application.
    • Restart your device and the trainer.
    • Ensure no other devices are actively connected to the trainer.
  • Inaccurate Power Readings:
    • While the XXPRO requires no calibration, ensure your bike's drivetrain is clean and well-maintained.
    • Verify that your cycling software is correctly configured to receive data from the XXPRO.
  • Unusual Noises: Check for any loose components or foreign objects near the cassette or flywheel. Ensure your bike is securely mounted.
