User Manual

1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of your FANGZHNHT EAPDX 40A 230V Over Under Voltage Relay Protective Device. This device is designed to protect electrical equipment from damage caused by voltage fluctuations and over-current conditions by automatically disconnecting the power supply when parameters exceed set limits and reconnecting when conditions return to normal.

2. Safety Information

  • Electrical Hazard: Installation and maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel only. Ensure power is disconnected before any wiring or servicing.
  • Voltage Rating: Do not exceed the specified voltage and current ratings of the device.
  • Proper Grounding: Ensure the electrical system is properly grounded according to local electrical codes.
  • Environmental Conditions: Do not expose the device to moisture, extreme temperatures, or corrosive environments.

3. Product Features

The FANGZHNHT EAPDX 40A protective device offers the following key features:

  • Dual Digital Display: Real-time monitoring of voltage and current.
  • Over-Voltage Protection: Automatically disconnects power when voltage exceeds a preset upper limit.
  • Under-Voltage Protection: Automatically disconnects power when voltage drops below a preset lower limit.
  • Over-Current Protection: Automatically disconnects power when current exceeds a preset limit.
  • Adjustable Self-Resetting: Configurable delay for automatic reconnection after fault conditions clear.
  • Status Indicators: LED indicators for over-voltage (>V), under-voltage (Ie) status.

Image 2: Adjustable Self-Resetting Protection. This close-up image focuses on the display and controls of an EAPDX-63 model, emphasizing its core functionality as an adjustable self-resetting over-voltage, under-voltage, and over-current protector. The text overlay explains that the device displays current and voltage usage, automatically disconnecting when either current or voltage exceeds predefined limits.

4. Setup and Installation

The device is designed for DIN rail mounting. Follow these steps for proper installation:

  1. Mounting: Securely attach the device to a standard 35mm DIN rail in an appropriate electrical enclosure.
  2. Wiring: Connect the incoming power supply (Line and Neutral) to the 'IN' terminals and the load to the 'OUT' terminals. Ensure correct polarity and tight connections.
  3. Power On: After verifying all connections, restore power to the circuit. The device display should illuminate.
Dimensions of the FANGZHNHT EAPDX-63 protective device.

Image 3: Device Dimensions. This image provides detailed measurements for the EAPDX-63 model, which is representative of the series. The front view shows a height of 81mm (3.19in) and a width of 36mm (1.42in). A side view indicates a depth of 66mm (2.6in) and a height of 50mm (1.97in) from the DIN rail mounting surface, with a 35mm (1.38in) width for the DIN rail clip. These dimensions are critical for planning installation space.

5. Operating Instructions

Once powered on, the device will display the current voltage and current readings. The LED indicators will show the status of the protection functions.

  • Normal Operation: The display shows real-time voltage and current. All indicator LEDs are off.
  • Protection Activated: If voltage or current exceeds set limits, the device will trip, disconnecting the load. The corresponding LED indicator (>V, Ie) will illuminate.
  • Self-Resetting: After a fault, the device will wait for the preset recovery delay time. If the fault clears, it will automatically reconnect the load.
  • Manual Reset: In some models, a 'R/T' button may be present for manual reset or to view recovery time settings.

6. Parameter Settings

To adjust the protection parameters, use the 'SET', 'Up Arrow', and 'Down Arrow' buttons:

  1. Enter Setting Mode: Press and hold the 'SET' button for approximately 3-5 seconds until the display starts flashing or indicates a setting parameter.
  2. Navigate Parameters: Briefly press the 'SET' button to cycle through different adjustable parameters (e.g., over-voltage threshold, under-voltage threshold, over-current threshold, recovery delay time).
  3. Adjust Values: Use the 'Up Arrow' and 'Down Arrow' buttons to increase or decrease the value of the currently selected parameter.
  4. Save Settings: After adjusting all desired parameters, press and hold the 'SET' button again for 3-5 seconds, or wait for the device to automatically exit setting mode (usually after 10-15 seconds of inactivity). The new settings will be saved.

Refer to the specific model's detailed parameter list for default values and adjustment ranges.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Connection Checks: Periodically inspect wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Environmental Check: Ensure the operating environment remains within specified temperature and humidity ranges.
