Safety Information
Always wear a helmet when riding. Obey all local traffic laws and regulations. Ensure all components are securely fastened before each ride. Do not operate the e-bike under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Avoid riding in adverse weather conditions or on excessively rough terrain if you are not experienced. Keep hands and feet clear of moving parts. The maximum weight limit for this bicycle is 150 kg.
Setup
1. Unboxing and Initial Assembly
Carefully remove the bicycle and all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage. The VICTRIP R5S comes largely pre-assembled but requires some final setup.
- Unfolding the Frame: Release the frame latch, carefully unfold the main frame until it locks into place. Secure the latch.
- Handlebar Assembly: Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube and tighten the quick-release lever or bolts securely. Adjust the handlebar height to a comfortable position.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Ensure they are fully tightened.
- Seat Post Installation: Insert the seat post into the frame tube. Adjust the seat height for comfortable pedaling with a slight bend in the knee at the bottom of the pedal stroke. Secure with the quick-release lever.

2. Battery Charging
Before your first ride, fully charge the LG 48V 20Ah battery. The battery can be charged while installed on the bike or removed.
- Connect the charger to a standard wall outlet.
- Connect the charger output to the battery charging port.
- The indicator light on the charger will show charging status (typically red for charging, green for fully charged).
- Once fully charged, disconnect the charger. Avoid overcharging for extended periods.
3. Pre-Ride Checks
- Tire Pressure: Ensure tires are inflated to the recommended pressure (check sidewall of tires).
- Brakes: Test both front and rear hydraulic disc brakes for proper function and responsiveness.
- Quick Releases: Verify all quick-release levers (seat post, handlebar stem, frame hinge) are securely closed.
- Lights: Check front and rear lights, and turn indicators for functionality.
Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
To power on the e-bike, press and hold the power button on the display unit. To power off, press and hold the same button.
2. Display Functions
The LCD display provides information such as current speed, battery level, pedal assist level, and trip distance. Refer to the specific display manual for detailed navigation and settings.
3. Pedal Assist System (PAS)
The VICTRIP R5S features a Pedal Assist System. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the handlebar control to select your desired assist level (typically 0-5). Level 0 provides no motor assistance, while higher levels provide more power. The motor engages when you pedal.
4. Throttle Operation (Unlockable)
The e-bike's motor can be unlocked to provide throttle-only operation. This feature is activated using the provided unlock key. Once unlocked, the throttle can be used to propel the bike without pedaling. Be aware of local regulations regarding throttle use on electric bicycles.
5. Gear Shifting
Shift gears smoothly by pedaling lightly and using the gear shifter on the handlebar. Avoid shifting under heavy load to prevent damage to the drivetrain.
6. Folding and Storage
To fold the bicycle for storage or transport:
- Lower the seat post and handlebar stem to their lowest positions.
- Open the frame hinge latch and carefully fold the frame in half.
- Fold the pedals inward if they are foldable.
- Secure any folding mechanisms.
The folded dimensions are approximately 110 × 75 × 70 cm.
Maintenance
1. Battery Care
- Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
