7. Troubleshooting
7.1 SSD Not Recognized
- Ensure the M.2 SSD is correctly installed and secured in the enclosure.
- Verify that the MiniLink hub is properly connected to your Mac mini via the USB-C cable and has external power.
- For new SSDs, they may need to be formatted and partitioned in macOS Disk Utility before they appear on your desktop.

7.2 Slow Data Transfer Speeds
- Ensure you are using the USB-A 3.2 (10Gbps) ports for high-speed devices. USB-A 2.0 ports offer slower speeds.
- Check that your Mac mini's USB-C port supports the advertised speeds (e.g., Thunderbolt 3/4 or USB 3.2 Gen 2).
- Avoid using excessively long or low-quality USB cables, as they can degrade performance.
7.3 Overheating
- Ensure the MiniLink hub is placed on a flat, stable surface with adequate airflow around its ventilation holes.
- Verify that the cooling vest and thermal pad are correctly installed on the M.2 SSD.
- Avoid blocking the air vents on the hub.

8. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.
- Avoid exposing the hub to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself, as this may void the warranty.
