Setup

1. Battery Installation

To power on your device, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

The device should power on automatically and display initial readings.

2. Initial Placement

For accurate readings, place the weather station on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts that could affect temperature and humidity measurements.

Operating Instructions

Understanding the Display

The LCD screen provides a comprehensive overview of various data points. Refer to the diagram below for a detailed breakdown of each display area.

Button Functions

The device features several buttons on the front for easy control and setting adjustments:

  • MODE: Used to switch between time display modes, enter setting modes for time, date, and alarm.
  • ▲12/24: Used to increase values during setting, or switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats.
  • ▼°C/°F: Used to decrease values during setting, or switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.
  • MAX/MIN: Displays maximum and minimum recorded temperature and humidity. Press again to clear.
  • ONS/COFF (Voice Control): Toggles the voice-activated backlight function On or Off.

Setting Time and Date

  1. Press the MODE button repeatedly until the time display flashes.
  2. Use the ▲12/24 and ▼°C/°F buttons to adjust the hour.
  3. Press MODE again to move to minutes, then adjust using the arrow buttons.
  4. Continue pressing MODE to cycle through year, month, and date settings, adjusting each with the arrow buttons.
  5. Once all settings are complete, press MODE to exit the setting mode.

Setting the Alarm Clock

  1. From the normal time display, press MODE once to enter alarm setting mode (the alarm icon will appear).
  2. Press and hold MODE until the alarm hour flashes.
  3. Use the ▲12/24 and ▼°C/°F buttons to set the desired alarm hour.
  4. Press MODE again to set the alarm minutes.
  5. Press MODE to confirm and exit alarm setting.
  6. To activate/deactivate the alarm, press the ▲12/24 button while in alarm display mode. An alarm icon will indicate if it's active.

When the alarm sounds, press any button (except MODE) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will sound again after approximately 5 minutes. To turn off the alarm completely, press the MODE button when it is sounding.

Temperature and Humidity Display

The device continuously displays the current indoor temperature and humidity. You can switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) by pressing the ▼°C/°F button.

Press the MAX/MIN button to view the highest and lowest temperature and humidity recorded since the last reset. Press MAX/MIN again to clear the recorded values.

Comfort Indicator

The comfort indicator provides a quick visual reference for indoor air quality based on temperature and humidity levels:

  • DRY: Humidity less than 40%.
  • COMFORT: Humidity between 40% and 70% (inclusive), and temperature between 20°C and 25°C (inclusive).
  • WET: Humidity greater than 70%.

Backlight Control

The device features two ways to activate the backlight:

  • Button Control: Press any button (except MODE) to activate the backlight. It will automatically turn off after approximately 5 seconds.
  • Voice Control: To enable this feature, ensure the ONS/COFF switch on the front is in the "ONS" position. Once activated, any sound or light vibration (e.g., tapping the table) will illuminate the backlight for approximately 5 seconds.
