  • Do not use the canopy in severe weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds, lightning, or snow.
  • Keep all flame and heat sources away from the canopy fabric.
  • Ensure proper ventilation when using heating or cooking appliances under the canopy.
  • Supervise children around the canopy to prevent accidents.

4. Setup Instructions

The Benass Pop Up Canopy is designed for easy, one-person setup. Follow these steps:

  1. Step 1: Open the Canopy Frame. Place the folded frame in the desired location. Gently pull the legs outwards to begin expanding the frame.
  2. Step 2: Secure the Canopy Top. Drape the canopy top fabric over the expanded frame. Secure it to the frame using the integrated Velcro straps at each corner and along the edges.
  3. Step 3: Push the Central Button. From underneath the canopy, push the central lock mechanism upward until you hear a distinct "click." This locks the frame into its fully open position.
  4. Step 4: Install Sandbags and Extend Height. Attach the four sandbags to the canopy legs. Fill them with sand or other heavy material for added stability. Adjust the height of the canopy legs by pressing the red button on each leg and extending them to your desired height (8.7', 9', or 9.32'). Ensure all legs are locked at the same height.
  5. Step 5: Install Wind Ropes and Ground Nails. Attach the wind ropes to the canopy corners and stake them into the ground using the spiral ground nails. This provides additional stability, especially in light wind conditions.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Clean the canopy fabric with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners.
  • Rinse thoroughly and allow the fabric to air dry completely before storing to prevent mildew.
  • Wipe down the alloy steel frame with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.

6.2 Storage

The canopy comes with an upgraded storage bag featuring a top handle, two side handles, and wheels for convenient transport and storage. Ensure the canopy is completely dry before folding and placing it back into the storage bag to prevent mold and mildew growth. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Difficulty Expanding/Collapsing Frame: Ensure all locking mechanisms are disengaged before attempting to expand or collapse. Apply even pressure when expanding. If the frame sticks, gently wiggle the joints. Do not force the frame.
  • Canopy Instability: Verify that all legs are fully extended and locked at the same height. Ensure sandbags are filled and attached, and wind ropes are securely staked. In strong winds, it is recommended to take down the canopy.
  • Water Accumulation on Top: Ensure the canopy fabric is taut and properly secured to the frame. Adjust leg heights if necessary to create a slight slope for water runoff.
  • Tears or Damage to Fabric: Small tears can often be repaired with a waterproof patch kit. For significant damage, consider purchasing a replacement top fabric. (Search ASIN: B0F8VDDJSY for replacement top canopy).
