8. Troubleshooting

8.1 No Display Output

  • Ensure the eGPU dock is powered on and the power adapter is securely connected.
  • Verify that the Oculink or USB-C cable connecting the eGPU to your host device is properly seated.
  • Check all display cables (HDMI/DisplayPort) are firmly connected to both the eGPU and the monitor.
  • Confirm your monitor is set to the correct input source.
  • Update your graphics drivers to the latest version.

8.2 Performance Issues / Crashes

  • Ensure the eGPU dock is receiving adequate power. A 240W power supply is required. Insufficient power can lead to instability, especially under load.
  • Verify that the TGP mode is set appropriately for your workload (Balanced Mode for higher performance).
  • Update your host device's operating system and all relevant drivers (chipset, Thunderbolt/USB4, graphics).
  • If experiencing frequent crashes, try completely shutting down both the host device and eGPU, unplugging them from power for a few minutes, then reconnecting and restarting.
  • For severe software issues, consider reinstalling graphics drivers or, as a last resort, the operating system, ensuring you have the correct system installation files from your device manufacturer.

8.3 Device Not Recognized

  • Ensure your host device's Oculink or USB4/Thunderbolt 3 port is functional and enabled in the BIOS/UEFI settings.
  • Try connecting the eGPU to a different port on your host device, if available.
  • Restart your host device with the eGPU connected.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the eGPU dock. Avoid liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the eGPU dock's ventilation grilles are clear of obstructions to allow for proper airflow and heat dissipation.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
