- Ensure there is at least 20 inches of space around the unit for proper airflow.

5.2 Exhaust Hose and Window Kit Installation
The exhaust hose expels hot air from the unit to the outside. Proper installation is crucial for efficient cooling.
- Attach Exhaust Hose to Unit: Twist the exhaust hose connector onto the exhaust opening at the back of the air conditioner. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Assemble Window Kit: The window kit consists of adjustable panels. Extend the panels to fit the length of your window opening. If necessary, you may need to cut the plastic panel to fit your window size while ensuring the exhaust opening remains clear.
- Install Window Kit: Place the assembled window kit into your window opening. Close the window as far as possible to secure the kit and cover the opening completely.
- Connect Exhaust Hose to Window Kit: Attach the adapter end of the exhaust hose to the opening in the window kit. Ensure a tight seal to prevent hot air from re-entering the room.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your air conditioner.
7.1 Air Filter Cleaning
The air filter should be cleaned regularly (every 2 weeks or more often depending on usage) to prevent dust and debris from entering the condenser coils and to maintain cooling efficiency.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Locate the air filter cover on the back of the unit (upper section).
- Open the cover and carefully remove the air filter.
- Clean the filter using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, or wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinserting it into the unit.
7.2 Water Drainage
The COWSAR unit features a self-evaporative system, which means most of the collected moisture is expelled with the hot air through the exhaust hose. However, in high humidity environments, the internal water tank may fill up.
- The unit will alert you when the water tank is full.
- Manual Drainage: Turn off and unplug the unit. Place a shallow pan or bucket under the lower drainage port at the back of the unit. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out. Replace the plug once the tank is empty.
- Continuous Drainage: For high humidity areas, connect the included drainage pipe to the continuous drainage port (located above the lower port) and direct it to a floor drain or a larger container.
