Setup

1. Unpacking and Inspection:

Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage. Ensure all included components (safe, emergency keys, expansion bolts, user manual) are present.

2. Battery Installation:

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door (refer to Figure 4).
  2. Open the battery cover.
  3. Insert four (4) AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery cover. The safe should emit a beep, indicating power.

Note: Always use new, high-quality alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.

3. Initial Code Setting:

The safe comes with a factory default code (usually "159"). It is crucial to change this immediately.

  1. With the safe door open, press the red reset button located on the inside of the door, near the hinge. You will hear a beep.
  2. While the light is flashing, enter your new 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
  3. Press the "#" button to confirm. The safe will beep twice, indicating successful code change.
  4. Test your new code with the door open before closing it.

4. Mounting the Safe (Optional):

For added security, the safe can be mounted to a wall or floor using the pre-drilled holes and included expansion bolts.

  1. Choose a suitable location, ensuring it is a solid surface.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes inside the safe.
  3. Drill holes in the wall/floor using an appropriate drill bit.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and secure it using the expansion bolts.

Operating Instructions

1. Opening the Safe with Your Personal Code:

  1. Enter your 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
  2. Press the "#" button. The green light will illuminate, and you will hear a beep.
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the door handle clockwise to open the safe.

2. Closing and Locking the Safe:

  1. Close the safe door.
  2. Turn the door handle counter-clockwise to engage the locking bolts.

3. Using the Emergency Key:

The emergency key provides access if you forget your code or if the batteries are completely depleted.

  1. Locate the emergency keyhole, usually hidden behind a small cover or logo plate on the keypad panel (refer to Figure 2).
  2. Remove the cover.
  3. Insert the emergency key and turn it clockwise.
  4. While holding the key turned, rotate the door handle clockwise to open the safe.
  5. Once open, remove the key. Store emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe.

4. Using External Emergency Power:

If the internal batteries are dead and you do not have the emergency key, or prefer not to use it, you can use an external power source.

  1. Locate the external power port (often a small hole or jack on the keypad panel).
  2. Connect a compatible external battery box (usually 4 AA batteries) to this port.
  3. Once connected, the keypad will be powered, and you can enter your personal code as usual to open the safe.
  4. After opening, replace the internal batteries immediately.

5. Changing Your Personal Code:

You can change your personal code at any time while the safe door is open.

  1. With the safe door open, press the red reset button on the inside of the door.
  2. Enter your new 3-8 digit code.
  3. Press the "#" button to confirm.
  4. Test the new code before closing the door.

Maintenance

1. Battery Replacement:

When the "LOW BATTERY" indicator light illuminates on the keypad, or if the safe starts beeping weakly, it's time to replace the batteries.

  1. Open the safe.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover (Figure 4).
  3. Remove the old batteries and dispose of them responsibly.
  4. Insert four (4) new AA alkaline batteries, observing correct polarity.
  5. Close the battery cover.

Important: Replacing batteries does not erase your personal code.

2. Cleaning:

Wipe the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.

3. Key Storage:

Always store your emergency keys in a secure location, separate from the safe, and where they can be easily accessed by a trusted individual if needed.
