6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Read and Write Function (External Enclosure Mode)
Once connected to your computer, the installed M.2 SATA SSD and/or 2.5"/3.5" SATA drive will appear as external storage devices. You can perform data read and write operations at speeds up to 5Gbps via the USB 3.0 Type-C interface.
- Ensure drives are correctly installed and the device is powered on.
- Connect the enclosure to your computer via the USB-C cable.
- The drives will be detected by your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS are compatible).
- You can now access, transfer, and manage files on the installed drives.

6.2 Offline Clone Function
The MAIWO-K10635S supports standalone offline cloning from an M.2 SATA SSD to a 2.5"/3.5" SATA HDD/SSD without needing a computer connection. Important: Back up all data on the target drive before cloning, as it will be overwritten.
- Prepare Drives: Insert the M.2 SATA SSD (source drive) into the M.2 slot and the 2.5"/3.5" SATA HDD/SSD (target drive) into the SATA slot.
- Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the enclosure and a power outlet. Do NOT connect the USB-C data cable to a computer for offline cloning.
- Power On: Turn on the power switch. The power light and both drive indicator lights (HDD/SSD) should illuminate.
- Initiate Clone: Press and hold the Clone button for approximately 5 seconds until the clone progress LEDs (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) start flashing.
- Confirm Clone: Release the Clone button, wait for about 1 second, and then press the Clone button once more. The cloning process will begin, and the progress lights will illuminate in sequence.
- Completion: The cloning process is complete when all four clone progress lights (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) stay illuminated without flashing.

- Device not recognized by computer:
- Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the enclosure and the computer.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Verify the power adapter is connected and the device is powered on.
- Check if the M.2 SATA SSD or SATA drive is properly seated in its slot.
- Drives not appearing in 'My Computer'/'Finder':
- For new drives, they may need to be initialized and formatted in Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS).
- Ensure the drive is healthy and functional.
- Offline clone not starting or failing:
- Ensure the USB-C data cable is disconnected from the computer during offline cloning.
- Verify that the source M.2 SATA SSD and target 2.5"/3.5" SATA drive are correctly inserted.
- The target drive must be equal to or larger in capacity than the source drive.
- Follow the clone initiation steps precisely (press and hold, then release and press again).
- Slow data transfer speeds:
- Ensure you are connected to a USB 3.0 (or higher) port on your computer.
- Check the quality of the USB-C cable.
- The actual speed may vary depending on the performance of your SSD/HDD and your computer's system.
