SOUQDWL SOUQDWL

SOUQDWL Portable PCP Air Compressor

Model: SOUQDWL

Introduction

This SOUQDWL PCP air compressor is a 350W, 12V unit designed for high-pressure air inflation. It features a built-in fan and adapter, eliminating the need for an external transformer or water/oil cooling. The compressor includes an adjustable pressure gauge, a visible temperature gauge, pressure preset functionality with auto-stop, a built-in oil/water separator, and an 8mm quick connector for efficient inflation. Its portable design makes it suitable for various applications, including PCP air rifles, paintball tanks, mini diving bottles, and air pistols.

Important Safety Information

  • High Pressure Hazard: This compressor generates extremely high pressure (up to 4500 PSI / 300 Bar). Always handle with extreme caution.
  • Never Leave Unattended: Do not leave the compressor running unsupervised. Monitor pressure and temperature closely during operation.
  • Pressure Relief: Always ensure the bleed valve is open to release residual pressure before disconnecting any hoses or fittings.
  • Temperature Monitoring: The cooling fan is manually controlled. Shut off the compressor and keep the cooling fan running if the temperature reaches 70 ℃ (158 ℉).
  • Burst Disc: The unit is equipped with a burst disc for safety. Ensure it is not tampered with.
  • Tank Capacity: The maximum inflation tank is limited to 0.4 Gallons (1.5 Liters). Do not exceed this limit.

Setup

1. Power Connection

Figure 2: Powering the compressor via 12V car battery or 110V/220V home outlet.

  • For 12V DC (Car Battery): Connect the red clip of the car power line to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V car battery and the black clip to the negative (-) terminal. Plug the other end into the Car Power Socket on the compressor.
  • For 110V-240V AC (Home Outlet): Plug the home power line into a standard wall outlet. Plug the other end into the Home Power Socket on the compressor. The compressor has a built-in adapter for AC power.

2. Air Hose Connection

  • Connect the air outlet hose to the High Pressure Air Outlet on the compressor.
  • Ensure the 8mm quick connector on the hose is securely attached to your PCP air gun or tank.

3. Initial Test (Deadhead Test)

Before first use, perform a deadhead test to verify compressor functionality and establish a performance benchmark.

  • Ensure the air hose is connected to the compressor, but the other end is plugged with the provided plug (effectively blocking the outlet).
  • Turn on the compressor switch. The cooling fan should start.
  • With the bleed valve open, allow the compressor to run for a few seconds.
  • Close the bleed valve and allow pressure to build. Monitor the pressure gauge.
  • Record the time it takes to reach 4500 PSI. This time serves as a benchmark for future performance checks.
  • Once 4500 PSI is reached, immediately turn off the compressor.
  • Open the bleed valve to release pressure before disconnecting the plug.

Operating Instructions

1. Prepare for Inflation

  • Ensure the compressor is placed on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation.
  • Connect the appropriate power source (12V DC or 110V-240V AC).
  • Connect the air outlet hose to the compressor and securely attach the 8mm quick connector to your PCP air gun or tank.
  • Ensure the bleed valve is closed before starting inflation.

2. Set Desired Pressure (Auto-Stop Function)

Figure 3: Adjustable pressure gauge and LED temperature display for monitoring and auto-stop.

  • Use the adjustable pressure gauge to preset your desired pressure. The compressor will automatically shut off once this pressure is reached.
  • Always refer to your air gun/tank manufacturer's specifications for maximum safe pressure.

3. Start Inflation

  • Turn on the compressor using the Compressor Switch. The cooling fan should also be turned on via the Fan Switch.
  • Monitor the pressure gauge and the LED temperature display throughout the inflation process.
  • A 0.5 L tank will take approximately 18 minutes to fill from 0 to 300 Bar, and 5 minutes from 200 to 300 Bar.

4. Post-Inflation

  • Once the desired pressure is reached and the compressor auto-stops, or you manually turn it off, keep the cooling fan running for a few minutes to dissipate heat.
  • Slowly open the bleed valve to release any residual pressure in the hose before disconnecting the air hose from your air gun/tank.

Maintenance

1. Oil/Water Separator Filter Replacement

Figure 4: The built-in active carbon filter helps ensure clean, dry air output.

  • The compressor features a built-in oil/water separator with an activated carbon filter on the hose.
  • Regularly check and replace the filter elements as needed to maintain efficient and clean air output. Refer to the spare parts suit for replacements.

2. Cooling Fan Operation

  • The cooling fan is crucial for maintaining optimal operating temperature. Always ensure it is running during compressor operation.
  • If the compressor reaches 70 ℃ (158 ℉), shut off the compressor and allow the fan to continue running until the temperature drops.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SOUQDWL PCP Air Compressor, consider the following:

  • Compressor Not Starting: Check power connections (12V DC or AC outlet). Ensure the power switch is in the 'ON' position. Verify the fuse is intact.
  • Slow Inflation/Low Pressure: Ensure all connections are secure and there are no leaks. Check if the oil/water separator filter needs replacement. Confirm the bleed valve is fully closed.
  • Overheating: Ensure the cooling fan is operating correctly. If the temperature exceeds 70 ℃ (158 ℉), turn off the compressor and allow it to cool down with the fan running. Avoid continuous operation for extended periods (e.g., more than 30 minutes for a 0.5L tank).
  • Pressure Not Building: Verify the air hose is securely connected to the air gun/tank and the bleed valve is closed. Check for any blockages in the air path.
