1. Setup

1.1 Unboxing and Included Components

Carefully unpack your ULTIMEA Apollo S90 U3820 system. Ensure all components listed below are present:

• 1 x Left subunit & Right subunit
• 1 x Center Unit
• 1 x Subwoofer
• 1 x Soundbar Power Adaptor
• 1 x Subwoofer Power Adaptor
• 1 x Remote Control (Battery not included.)
• 1 x HDMI eARC Cable (1.5m)
• 1 x Digital Optical Cable (1.5m)

1.2 Physical Placement

The ULTIMEA Apollo S90 offers flexible placement options to suit your home theater setup. Consider the following configurations:

• Horizontal Placement (Soundbar): Connect the left, center, and right units to form a single soundbar. Place it directly in front of your TV.
• Detached and Stand on Base: Separate the left and right subunits from the center unit. Place the left and right speakers vertically on their bases on either side of your TV.
• Wall Mount: Utilize the included wall mounting brackets to secure the soundbar (either as a single unit or with separated L/C/R units) to the wall.

Position the wireless subwoofer in a location that provides optimal bass response, typically near the front of the room. The rear surround speakers should be placed behind your primary listening position for an immersive experience. Ensure the rear speakers are wired directly to the subwoofer for stable performance.

1.3 Connections

The Apollo S90 offers multiple connectivity options for your television and other devices:

• HDMI eARC (Recommended): Connect one end of the included HDMI eARC cable to your TV's HDMI eARC port and the other end to the HDMI eARC port on the soundbar. This connection supports Dolby Atmos for the best audio experience.
• Optical: Connect one end of the included digital optical cable to your TV's optical output and the other end to the OPTICAL port on the soundbar.
• AUX: Use a 3.5mm to RCA audio cable (not included) to connect your TV's audio output to the AUX port on the soundbar.
• Bluetooth: For wireless audio streaming from compatible devices, enable Bluetooth on your device and pair it with the soundbar.
• USB: The soundbar includes a USB-A port for playing MP3 files (up to 128GB max memory).

1.4 Speaker Pairing

The wireless subwoofer and rear speakers are typically pre-paired at the factory. If you experience no sound from the subwoofer or rear speakers, manual re-pairing may be necessary:

• Subwoofer Pairing: Ensure the soundbar and subwoofer are powered on. If the subwoofer's indicator light is not solid, press and hold the 'Xupmix' button on the remote and the 'ON/Standby' button on the subwoofer simultaneously for about 5 seconds. The indicator light will become solid upon successful pairing.
• Rear Speaker Pairing: The rear speakers are wired directly to the subwoofer. If there is no sound from the rear speakers, ensure they are correctly connected to the subwoofer. If the issue persists, press and hold the 'Surround Level' button on the remote and the 'PAIR' button on the surround speaker for about 5 seconds. The indicator light on the surround speaker will stay solid upon successful pairing.

1.5 TV Audio Settings

After connecting the soundbar to your TV, you may need to adjust your TV's audio output settings. Navigate to your TV's settings menu and locate the 'Sound Output' or 'Audio Format' options. Select the appropriate output based on your connection type:

• For HDMI eARC, select 'Receiver (HDMI)' and set the Digital Audio Format to 'Passthrough' for Dolby Atmos.
• For Optical or AUX, select 'Optical' or 'AUX' respectively, and set the Digital Audio Format to 'Auto' or 'PCM'.

Note: Different TV models may have varying menu structures. Consult your TV's user manual for specific instructions.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Remote Control Functions

The included remote control provides full command over your Apollo S90 system:

• Power: Turn the soundbar on/off.
• Source Selection: Switch between HDMI eARC, Optical, AUX, Bluetooth, and USB inputs.
• Volume Control: Adjust the master volume.
• EQ Modes: Select from preset sound modes like Movie, Music, Voice, Sport, Game, and Night.
• Bass/Midrange/Treble: Fine-tune audio levels.
• Surround: Adjust surround sound level.
• Mute: Mute/unmute audio.
• LED Dimmer: Adjust the brightness of the soundbar's LED display.

2.2 ULTIMEA Smart App Control

Enhance your audio experience with the ULTIMEA Smart App, available for both iOS and Android devices. The app allows for advanced control and customization:

• 121 Expert EQ Presets: Choose from a wide range of presets across genres like Bass, Pop, Classical, and Rock.
• 10-Band Custom EQ: Manually adjust the 10-band equalizer to match your exact preferences.
• Tailored EQ Modes: Access 6 tailored modes including Movie, Music, Voice, Sport, Game, and Night.
• RGB Lighting Control: Adjust brightness, color, and select from 6 preset modes (Party, Movie, Music, etc.) for the integrated RGB lighting.

2.3 RGB Lighting Entertainment

The Apollo S90 features integrated RGB lighting on the soundbar and subwoofer. Use the remote control or the ULTIMEA Smart App to customize the lighting effects. Choose from various colors and 6 preset modes to match your mood or enhance your entertainment experience.

3. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ULTIMEA Apollo S90 system, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the soundbar, subwoofer, and speakers. Avoid using liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive solvents.
• Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation around all components to prevent overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings.
• Placement: Avoid placing the system in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with high humidity or dust.
• Power: Disconnect the power adapters from the wall outlet if the system will not be used for an extended period.

4. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Apollo S90, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

• No Sound:
  • Check all cable connections (HDMI, Optical, AUX) are secure.
  • Verify your TV's audio output settings are correctly configured for the chosen input.
  • Ensure the soundbar is on the correct input source (e.g., HDMI eARC, OPT, AUX, BT).
  • Confirm the soundbar and TV volumes are not muted or set too low.
• No Sound from Subwoofer/Rear Speakers:
  • Check if the subwoofer's indicator light is solid, indicating successful pairing with the soundbar. If not, attempt manual pairing as described in Section 1.4.
  • Ensure the rear speakers are securely wired to the subwoofer. If the indicator light on the rear speaker is not solid, attempt manual pairing as described in Section 1.4.
• Bluetooth Connectivity Issues:
  • Ensure the soundbar is in Bluetooth mode.
  • Delete the soundbar from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to re-pair.
  • Move your Bluetooth device closer to the soundbar to ensure it is within range (up to 15 meters).
• Remote Control Not Working:
  • Replace the batteries (2x AAA, not included).
  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the soundbar.
