4. Setup Guide

Follow these steps to set up your Acouto Portable WiFi Router:

1. Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM card slot on the device. Carefully open the back cover if necessary. Insert a standard SIM card into the designated slot. Ensure the SIM card is correctly oriented as indicated by the diagram near the slot.

2. Install Battery: If the battery is not pre-installed, place the 2100mAh Li-ion battery into its compartment, ensuring the contacts align.
3. Close Cover: Securely close the back cover of the router.
4. Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a power symbol) for a few seconds until the indicator lights illuminate. The device will begin to boot up and search for a network signal.
5. Connect to WiFi: On your device (phone, laptop, etc.), search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the network name (SSID) corresponding to your Acouto router. The default SSID and password are typically found on a sticker inside the battery compartment or on the device packaging.
6. Enter Password: Input the Wi-Fi password when prompted. Once connected, you should have internet access.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Indicator Lights

The router features indicator lights to show its status:

• Signal Indicator: Displays the strength of the 4G/3G network signal. More bars indicate a stronger signal.
• Battery Indicator: Shows the current battery level.
• WiFi Indicator: Lit when Wi-Fi is active and broadcasting.

5.2. Charging the Device

To charge the router, connect the included USB charging cable to the router's charging port and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The battery indicator will show charging status.

5.3. Connecting Multiple Devices

The router supports up to 10 simultaneous connections. Simply repeat step 5 and 6 from the Setup Guide for each device you wish to connect.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the router. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
• Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.

7. Troubleshooting

• No Internet Connection:
  • Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and active with a data plan.
  • Check the signal indicator. If the signal is weak or absent, move to an area with better network coverage.
  • Restart the router by turning it off and then on again.
  • Verify that your connected device is properly connected to the router's Wi-Fi network.
• Slow Connection Speed:
  • Check the signal strength. A weak signal can lead to slower speeds.
  • Reduce the number of connected devices or data-intensive activities.
  • Ensure your data plan has not reached its limit or been throttled by your service provider.
• Device Not Powering On:
  • Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the router to a power source using the charging cable.
  • Verify the battery is correctly installed.
• Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi Network:
  • Double-check the Wi-Fi password. It is case-sensitive.
  • Ensure the router is powered on and the Wi-Fi indicator is lit.
  • Try forgetting the network on your device and reconnecting.
