DPI Sensitivity Adjustment
The mouse offers up to 4000 DPI sensitivity for precise control on various surfaces. Refer to your operating system's documentation for specific instructions on adjusting mouse sensitivity.
Programmable Buttons
The HP 515 mouse features four programmable buttons. To customize these buttons, you will typically need to install HP's official peripheral management software for your operating system. This software allows you to assign various functions, macros, or shortcuts to the buttons to enhance your workflow.
- Visit the official HP support website for your mouse model (9C2F7AA).
- Download and install the latest drivers and utility software.
- Follow the on-screen instructions within the software to configure the programmable buttons.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Ensure the mouse is turned off before cleaning.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or spraying liquids directly onto the mouse.
- Gently wipe the surface of the mouse. For the optical sensor, use a dry cotton swab to carefully remove any dust or debris.
Charging Best Practices
- Charge the mouse using the provided USB Type-C cable or a certified equivalent.
- Avoid exposing the mouse to extreme temperatures during charging or storage.
- While the supercapacitor is designed for fast charging and long life, avoid leaving the mouse plugged in for excessively long periods if not necessary.
