- Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
- Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Run a brewing cycle without coffee grounds.
- After the cycle, let the mixture sit in the carafe for 15 minutes.
- Discard the mixture and run 2-3 cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse thoroughly.
6. Troubleshooting
- Coffee not brewing: Ensure the coffee maker is plugged in, the ON/OFF button is pressed, and the carafe is correctly placed on the warming plate.
- Coffee tastes weak or too strong: Adjust the amount of coffee grounds used per cup. Ensure the water reservoir is filled to the correct level.
- Water overflowing from filter basket: Check that the filter basket is not overfilled with coffee grounds. Ensure the carafe is properly seated on the warming plate, allowing the anti-drip mechanism to function correctly.
