Safety Instructions
Always observe basic safety precautions when using electric tools to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury.
- Eye Protection: Always wear appropriate eye protection, such as safety goggles, when operating the drill.
- Hearing Protection: Wear ear protection during extended periods of use, especially when hammer drilling.
- Respiratory Protection: When drilling into masonry or concrete, wear a dust mask to avoid inhaling harmful dust particles.
- Secure Workpiece: Always secure the workpiece to prevent movement during drilling.
- Proper Grip: Maintain a firm grip on the tool with both hands, especially when using the hammer function.
- Check for Hidden Utilities: Before drilling into walls, floors, or ceilings, ensure there are no hidden electrical wires, gas pipes, or water pipes. Use a detector if necessary.
- Avoid Overreaching: Maintain proper footing and balance at all times.
- Unplug When Not in Use: Disconnect the drill from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool.
- Use Correct Accessories: Only use SDS-Plus drill bits and chisels designed for this tool.

Setup
- Attaching the Auxiliary Handle: Loosen the auxiliary handle by twisting it counter-clockwise. Slide it over the chuck and position it to your desired angle for optimal control and comfort. Tighten by twisting clockwise.
- Inserting SDS-Plus Bits/Chisels:
- Clean the shank of the drill bit or chisel.
- Pull back the fastening sleeve on the chuck.
- Insert the SDS-Plus bit into the chuck until it clicks into place. The bit should have a slight axial play; this is normal for SDS-Plus systems.
- Release the fastening sleeve. Pull on the bit to ensure it is securely locked.

- Attaching the Drill Chuck (for standard bits): If using standard drill bits, attach the included drill chuck to the SDS-Plus chuck. Insert the SDS-Plus shank of the drill chuck into the rotary hammer's chuck as described above. Then, insert your standard drill bit into the drill chuck and tighten with the chuck key.
- Setting the Depth Gauge: Insert the depth gauge into the hole on the auxiliary handle. Adjust it to the desired drilling depth and tighten the auxiliary handle to secure it.
- Power Connection: Ensure the ON-OFF switch is in the 'OFF' position before plugging the tool into a suitable 220V power outlet.
Operating Instructions
Function Selection
The DEWINNER Rotary Hammer Drill offers three operating modes, selected via the function switch located on the side of the tool:
- Drilling Mode (Drill icon): For drilling in wood, metal, ceramics, and plastic. Use with the standard drill chuck and appropriate drill bits.
- Hammer Drilling Mode (Hammer and Drill icon): For drilling in concrete, brick, and stone. This mode combines rotation with hammering action. Use with SDS-Plus hammer drill bits.
- Chiseling Mode (Hammer icon): For light demolition work, chiseling, and breaking concrete or masonry. This mode provides hammering action without rotation. Use with SDS-Plus chisels.
To switch functions, rotate the function selector switch to the desired icon. Ensure the tool is unplugged or the switch is in the OFF position before changing modes.

Speed Adjustment
The drill features a 6-level variable speed switch, allowing you to adjust the rotational speed from 200 to 850 RPM to match the material and application. Higher speeds are generally used for smaller drill bits and softer materials, while lower speeds are suitable for larger drill bits and harder materials or chiseling.

Intelligent Safety Clutch
The built-in intelligent safety clutch is designed to protect both the user and the tool. In the event that the drill bit jams or binds in the workpiece (e.g., hitting rebar), the clutch will automatically disengage the drive, preventing sudden torque reactions and potential injury to the user's wrist or arm.

Image: Diagram illustrating the function of the intelligent safety clutch, showing how it prevents kickback when the drill bit encounters resistance, compared to operation without a safety clutch.
Vibration Control (AVR System)
The integrated Anti-Vibration Rotation (AVR) system significantly reduces vibration transmitted to the user's hands. This enhances comfort during prolonged use and reduces fatigue, allowing for more precise control.
General Operation Tips
- Start drilling at a low speed to prevent the bit from wandering, then increase speed as needed.
- Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the tool.
- Allow the tool to cool down during extended use to prevent overheating.
- For chiseling, adjust the chisel position by rotating the fastening sleeve to align the chisel blade correctly.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your DEWINNER Rotary Hammer Drill.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the tool with a dry cloth. Do not use water or chemical cleaners. Keep ventilation openings clear of dust and debris.
- Lubrication: The gear housing requires periodic lubrication. Use the provided advanced lubricant (grease). Refer to the parts diagram for the lubrication point (often under a cap near the gear housing).
- Carbon Brush Replacement: The carbon brushes are wear parts. When the motor performance decreases significantly or sparks become excessive, the carbon brushes may need replacement. Access the carbon brush caps (as shown in the parts diagram) and replace them with the spare set provided. Ensure the tool is unplugged before performing this task.
- Cord Inspection: Regularly inspect the power cord for any damage. Do not use the tool if the cord is damaged.
- Storage: Store the tool and accessories in the transport case in a dry, secure place, out of reach of children.
