1. Introduction

4. Setup

4.1 Powering the Device

The RC 100C offers multiple power options:

  1. AC Power: Connect the included AC to DC Power Adaptor to the DC IN 24V port on the light and plug it into a wall outlet.
  2. V-Mount Battery: Attach a V-mount battery (not included) directly to the integrated V-mount plate on the light. For optimal performance, use a V-mount battery with capacity >98Wh, output power >120W, and voltage <35V.
  3. NP-F970 Batteries: Use an optional NP-F battery plate (not included) with two NP-F970 batteries (not included). This configuration operates at 60% power.
  4. USB-C Power: Connect a PD power bank or charging cable (not included) to the USB-C port for up to 110W input.

After connecting the power source, press the ON/OFF button to power on the light.

4.2 Mounting the Light

The RC 100C can be mounted using the Quick Release Light Stand Adapter (included) or other compatible mounting accessories (not included) such as Bowens mount adapters or magic arms.

  1. Attach the Quick Release Light Stand Adapter to a light stand.
  2. Securely mount the RC 100C onto the adapter.
  3. Attach the Mini Reflector or Silicone Dome Diffuser to the front of the light as needed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 On-Body Control

The RC 100C features a 1.44-inch LCD color screen and two independent knobs for direct control:

5.2 Wireless Control via SmallGoGo App

For advanced control and convenience, download the SmallGoGo app on your smartphone or tablet.

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
  2. Open the SmallGoGo app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your RC 100C light.
  3. Once connected, you can wirelessly adjust color temperature, brightness, HSI, RGBCW, special effects, and GEL modes.

5.3 DMX Wired Control

The RC 100C supports DMX wired control with a separate adapter (not included) for integration into professional lighting setups.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance and longevity, regularly clean the light. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

6.2 Cooling System

The RC 100C features an efficient in-house cooling system. Ensure the ventilation grilles are not obstructed during operation to prevent overheating. The light operates with minimal noise, as low as 0dB in Silent Mode (20% power output) and 18dB in Low Noise Mode (70% power output).

6.3 Storage

When not in use, store the light in a dry, dust-free environment. Disconnect all power sources and remove any attached batteries. It is recommended to use the original packaging or a protective case for storage and transport.
