5. Getting Started (Setup)

5.1 Inserting the SIM Card and Battery

  1. Open the back cover of the phone.
  2. If a battery is present, remove it.
  3. Insert your Nano SIM card into the designated slot with the gold contacts facing down.
  4. Insert the battery, ensuring the contacts align correctly.
  5. Replace the back cover until it clicks into place.

5.2 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the phone. You can use the included charging cradle for convenience.

  1. Connect the power adapter to the charging cradle.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. Place the phone into the charging cradle, ensuring it sits securely. The charging indicator on the phone will illuminate.
  4. Alternatively, you can connect the power adapter directly to the phone's charging port.

5.3 Turning On/Off

  • To Turn On: Press and hold the Power/End Call button (red button) until the screen lights up.
  • To Turn Off: Press and hold the Power/End Call button until the power-off options appear, then select 'Power Off'.

6. Basic Operation

6.1 Making Calls

  1. Open the flip to activate the screen.
  2. Enter the phone number using the keypad.
  3. Press the Call button (green button) to initiate the call.
  4. To end a call, press the End Call button (red button) or close the flip.

6.2 Receiving Calls

  • When the phone rings, open the flip or press the Call button (green button) to answer.
  • To reject a call, press the End Call button (red button).

6.3 Sending and Receiving Messages

  1. Navigate to the 'Messages' menu from the main screen.
  2. Select 'New Message' to compose a text.
  3. Enter the recipient's number or select from contacts.
  4. Type your message using the keypad.
  5. Press 'Send'.
  6. Received messages will appear in the 'Inbox'.

6.4 Managing Contacts

  1. Go to the 'Contacts' or 'Phonebook' menu.
  2. Select 'Add New Contact' to save a number.
  3. Enter the name and phone number, then save.
  4. To use Direct Dial Keys (M1, M2): Assign frequently called numbers to these keys in the settings menu. Press and hold M1 or M2 to dial the assigned contact.

6.5 Using the Emergency Call Button

The SOS emergency button is located on the back of the phone. When pressed, it will automatically dial pre-set emergency contacts and send an SMS message.

  1. Setting up Emergency Contacts: Access the 'SOS Settings' in the phone's menu to add up to 5 emergency numbers.
  2. Activating SOS: Press and hold the SOS button on the back of the phone for a few seconds. The phone will then sequentially call the emergency contacts until one answers, and send a pre-defined emergency SMS.

6.6 Using the Flashlight

The integrated flashlight can be activated directly from the side of the phone or through the menu, depending on the model configuration.

6.7 Adjusting Volume

Use the volume buttons located on the side of the phone to adjust call volume, ringtone volume, and media volume.
