5. Setup
5.1. Battery Installation (Battery Sold Separately)
- Ensure the drill's trigger is in the OFF position.
- Align the battery pack with the battery port on the base of the drill handle.
- Slide the battery pack into the port until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release button (if present) and slide the battery pack out.
5.2. Bit Installation
- Ensure the drill is OFF and the battery is removed for safety.
- Twist the front portion of the keyless chuck counter-clockwise to open the chuck jaws.
- Insert the desired drill bit or screwdriver bit into the chuck, ensuring it is centered.
- Twist the front portion of the chuck clockwise to tighten the jaws firmly around the bit. Hand-tighten only.
5.3. Attaching the Belt Clip
- Locate the screw hole on the side of the drill handle.
- Position the belt clip over the screw hole.
- Secure the belt clip with the provided screw (if applicable) using a screwdriver.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Powering On/Off and Speed Control
- To turn the drill ON, press the trigger switch. The speed is variable; pressing the trigger further increases the speed.
- To turn the drill OFF, release the trigger switch.
6.2. Forward/Reverse Rotation
- Push the forward/reverse selector to the left for forward (clockwise) rotation.
- Push the forward/reverse selector to the right for reverse (counter-clockwise) rotation.
- Center the selector to lock the trigger and prevent accidental starting.
6.3. Torque Settings
- Rotate the torque adjustment collar to select the desired torque setting (1-18) or drill mode (represented by a drill bit icon).
- Lower settings are for driving small screws or working with soft materials.
- Higher settings are for driving larger screws or working with harder materials.
- The drill mode (highest setting) is for drilling holes.
