Setup Guide
Before initial use, please follow these steps to ensure proper setup and operation of your Brio water dispenser.
Unboxing and Placement
- Carefully remove the dispenser from its packaging.
- Place the dispenser on a flat, stable surface in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
- Allow the dispenser to stand upright for at least 4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the compressor fluids to settle.
Installing the Water Bottle
- Open the lower compartment door of the dispenser.
- Remove the cap from a standard 5-gallon water bottle.
- Insert the probe assembly into the opening of the water bottle. Ensure the probe is fully inserted and the silicone seal is snug.
- Slide the water bottle into the lower compartment. The bottom-loading design eliminates the need for heavy lifting.
- Close the compartment door securely.
- Plug the dispenser into a grounded electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Powering On and Initial Fill
Once plugged in, the dispenser will begin to fill its internal reservoirs. This process may take a few minutes. Do not dispense water until the reservoirs are full, indicated by the absence of gurgling sounds and the display showing ready status.
Dispensing Water
- Place a cup or container under the dispensing nozzle.
- On the LED touch display, select your desired water temperature:
- Cold Water: Press the "Cold" icon. There are 3 adjustable cold temperature settings.
- Room Temperature Water: Press the "Room Temp" icon.
- Hot Water: Press the "Hot" icon. There are 3 adjustable hot temperature settings.
- Water will dispense. Release the button to stop the flow.
Child Safety Lock (Hot Water)
To dispense hot water, you must first engage the child safety lock mechanism. This prevents accidental hot water dispensing. Consult the display for specific instructions on activating the hot water dispense function.
Advanced Digital Display Functions
- Empty Bottle Indicator: An icon will illuminate when the 5-gallon bottle is empty, signaling it's time for replacement.
- Self-Cleaning Indicator: An icon will show when the automatic UV self-cleaning cycle is active.
- Digital Clock: Displays the current time.
- Night Light: Provides illumination for easy water selection in low-light conditions.
Maintenance
UV Self-Cleaning Function
The Brio 740 features an automatic UV self-cleaning process that uses ultraviolet light to reduce biofilm buildup and other accumulated impurities in the cold water tank. This helps maintain water quality and minimizes manual cleaning requirements. The display will indicate when this cycle is active.
General Cleaning
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Drip Tray: Regularly remove and empty the drip tray. Wash it with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and replace.
- Dispensing Nozzles: Periodically wipe the dispensing nozzles with a clean cloth.
Do not immerse the dispenser in water or spray water directly onto the unit.
