2. Safety Information

3. Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup of your Brio 520 ICE Water Dispenser.
Unpacking and Placement:
- Carefully remove all packaging materials.
- Place the dispenser on a flat, stable, and level surface. Ensure there is at least 4 inches of clearance from walls to allow for proper ventilation.
- Do not plug in the unit yet.
Installing the Water Bottle:
The Brio 520 features a convenient bottom-load design, eliminating the need for heavy lifting.
- Open the lower cabinet door of the dispenser.
- Remove the cap from a new 3- or 5-gallon water bottle.
- Insert the probe from the dispenser into the opening of the water bottle. Ensure it is securely seated.
- Slide the water bottle into the lower cabinet.
- Close the cabinet door.

Initial Power-On:
- Plug the dispenser into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Allow the unit to sit for at least 30 minutes before turning on the heating and cooling functions. This allows the refrigerants to settle.
- Locate the power switches on the back of the unit for hot water, cold water, and ice making. Turn them ON.
- The unit will begin to cool and heat the water, and start ice production. This process may take several hours for the first batch of ice and to reach optimal water temperatures.

Dispensing Water:

- For cold water, press the cold water button on the display.
- For hot water, first press and hold the child safety lock button, then press the hot water button. Release both buttons once dispensing begins.

Dispensing Ice:
- Place your cup or container under the ice dispense chute.
- Press the ice dispense button on the display.
