3. Setup and Installation
This section provides detailed instructions for installing your window air conditioner. Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance and safety.
3.1 Window Requirements
The air conditioner is designed for installation in standard double-hung windows with a minimum opening height of 14.5 inches and a window width range of 23-36 inches.

3.2 Installation Steps
- Prepare the Window: Open the window and clean the window sill.
- Install Top Rail: Attach the top rail to the unit using the provided screws.
- Place Unit in Window: Carefully lift the air conditioner and place it in the window opening, ensuring the bottom rail rests on the window sill.
- Secure the Unit: Extend the side panels to fill the window opening. Secure the unit to the window frame using the provided brackets and screws.
- Seal Gaps: Use the foam seals to fill any gaps between the unit, side panels, and window frame to prevent air leakage.

4. Operating Instructions
Your Electactic air conditioner can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.
4.1 Control Panel and Remote Control
The control panel features an intuitive layout with buttons for power, mode selection, fan speed, temperature adjustment, timer, sleep, filter, and ECO mode. The remote control provides convenient access to all functions from across the room.

4.2 Operating Modes
- Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling. Adjust temperature between 61°F and 88°F.
- Dry Mode: Functions as a dehumidifier, removing up to 56 pints of moisture per day. Ideal for damp conditions.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Choose from 4 fan speeds (High, Medium, Low, Auto).
- Auto Mode: Automatically selects the appropriate operating mode (Cool or Fan) based on the room temperature.
- Sleep Mode: Gradually increases the set temperature over time to save energy and provide comfortable sleeping conditions.
- ECO Mode: Optimizes energy consumption by cycling the compressor and fan to maintain the set temperature.
4.3 Timer Function
The 24-hour timer allows you to program the unit to turn on or off automatically within a 0.5 to 24-hour period. Press the 'Timer' button and use the up/down arrows to set the desired time.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation and extends the lifespan of your air conditioner.
5.1 Air Filter Cleaning
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or when the 'Check Filter' alert appears on the display. A dirty filter can reduce cooling efficiency and airflow.
- Remove Filter: Gently pull the filter out from the front of the unit.
- Clean Filter: Wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Reinstall Filter: Slide the dry filter back into its slot.

5.2 General Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
