Short press the control button to cycle through the four available measurement modes:
- FLOW Mode: Displays the real-time water flow rate (e.g., Gallons per Minute or Liters per Minute).
- CONSUMPTION Mode: Shows the water usage from the last watering session.
- AVERAGE Mode: Calculates and displays the daily average water usage over the past week (counts from the next day after initial use).
- TOTAL Mode: Accumulates and displays the total water usage since the meter was last reset.
5.3 Switching Units and Resetting Data
- To switch the unit between gallons and liters, long press the control button while in FLOW Mode.
- To reset the data for the currently displayed mode (Consumption, Average, or Total), long press the control button while in that specific mode.

6. Maintenance

Wipe the exterior of the meter with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the LCD screen or the device's housing. Ensure the brass connections are free of debris.
6.2 Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the water flow meter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to remove the battery if storing for several months to prevent leakage.
6.3 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes dim or unresponsive, it's time to replace the battery. Follow the battery installation instructions in Section 4.1, ensuring dry hands and correct polarity.
7. Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Display is blank or dim. | Low or dead battery; incorrect battery installation. | Replace the battery, ensuring correct polarity. Ensure hands are dry during installation. |
| Inaccurate readings. | Loose connections; debris in the meter; incorrect unit setting. | Check all connections for tightness. Inspect the meter for any obstructions. Verify the unit setting (gallon/liter) is correct for your needs. |
| No flow detected / Meter not counting. | No water supply; meter installed backward; significant air in the line. | Ensure water supply is on. Check that the meter is installed with the flow direction arrow pointing correctly. Purge air from the hose/system. |
