Setup

Connectivity Modes

The AK980 supports three connection modes: USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.0. Use the switch located on the keyboard to select your desired mode.

1. USB-C Wired Connection

1. Connect the provided USB-C cable to the keyboard's port.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Ensure the mode switch on the keyboard is set to 'Wired' or 'USB'.
4. The keyboard will be automatically recognized by your system.

2. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection

1. Locate the 2.4GHz USB receiver (usually stored in a slot on the keyboard).
2. Plug the receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
3. Set the mode switch on the keyboard to '2.4G'.
4. The keyboard should connect automatically. If not, press Fn + R to initiate pairing.

3. Bluetooth 5.0 Connection

1. Set the mode switch on the keyboard to 'BT'.
2. Press and hold Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for BT1, BT2, or BT3 respectively. The indicator light will flash rapidly.
3. On your device (computer, tablet, phone), open Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
4. Select 'AJAZZ AK980' from the list of available devices to connect.
5. Once connected, the indicator light will stop flashing.

Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the keyboard using the provided USB-C cable. The 1.14-inch TFT screen will display the battery status.

Maintenance

• Keyboard not responding:

  • Keep the keyboard within the effective range of your device.
  • Try re-pairing the keyboard.
• TFT screen not displaying:
  • Ensure the keyboard is powered on and has sufficient battery.
  • If the issue persists, try restarting the keyboard by cycling the power switch.
