Setup

1. Charging the Battery

The Funguard Green Laser Level is equipped with a built-in 2600mAh lithium battery, providing up to 14 hours of continuous operation on a full charge.

  • Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the side of the laser level.
  • Connect the other end of the cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included).
  • The LED indicator will show charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.

2. Mounting the Device

The laser level can be mounted using its 1/4"-20 threaded mount or the included magnetic L-bracket.

  • Magnetic L-Bracket: Attach the L-bracket to the bottom of the laser level using the 1/4"-20 screw. The bracket's strong magnets allow it to be securely attached to metal surfaces. The bracket also allows for 360-degree rotation of the laser level.
  • Tripod Mounting: The 1/4"-20 threaded mount is compatible with most standard camera tripods or laser poles (not included).

Operating Modes

The Funguard Green Laser Level offers three distinct operating modes: Self-Leveling, Manual, and Pulse.

1. Self-Leveling Mode

  • To activate, slide the Pendulum/Transit Lock switch to the "unlocked" position.
  • The laser level will automatically self-level within a range of 3° ± 1°.
  • If the device is outside this range, the laser lines will flash automatically, and an audible alert may sound, indicating it cannot self-level. Adjust the device's position until the lines become steady.
  • Leveling and compensation typically occur within 3 seconds.

2. Manual Mode

  • To activate, slide the Pendulum/Transit Lock switch to the "locked" position.
  • In this mode, the self-leveling function is disabled, and the laser cross is locked. This allows you to project lines at any desired angle, such as for installing handrails or decorative elements.
  • The laser lines may flash every 5 seconds to indicate that it is in manual mode and not self-leveling.

3. Pulse Mode

  • Pulse mode is designed for use with a laser detector (not included) to extend the working range up to 164ft (50M), especially useful in bright outdoor conditions.
  • To activate Pulse Mode, ensure the device is in Self-Leveling Mode (pendulum unlocked). Short press the Operation Button twice quickly.
  • The laser beams will appear dimmer, and the LED indicator will display a breathing light pattern to confirm Pulse Mode is active.
  • To exit Pulse Mode, short press the Operation Button twice again.

4. Line Switching Modes

Press the Operation Button to cycle through different laser line configurations:

  • Horizontal Line: Projects a single horizontal laser line.
  • Vertical Line: Projects a single vertical laser line.
  • Cross Lines: Projects both horizontal and vertical lines simultaneously.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the laser window and the device's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the laser level in its EVA camera bag in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure the pendulum is in the "locked" position during storage and transport to prevent damage.
  • Battery Care: For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the device periodically if stored for extended periods.
  • Protection: The device is IP54 rated for dust and splash resistance. While durable, avoid submerging it in water or exposing it to heavy rain.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Laser lines are flashing and/or beeping in Self-Leveling Mode. The device is tilted beyond its self-leveling range (3° ± 1°).Place the laser level on a more level surface until the lines become steady.
Laser lines are dim or not visible outdoors.Bright ambient light conditions.Activate Pulse Mode and use a compatible laser detector for extended range and visibility.
Device does not turn on.Battery is discharged.Charge the device using the provided Type-C cable.
Laser lines are projected at an angle in Manual Mode. This is expected behavior for Manual Mode.Ensure the pendulum is locked. Manual mode allows for angled projections. If you need a level line, switch to Self-Leveling Mode.
