1. Product Overview

The Evanshow Fingerprint Smart Door Lock (Model 003) offers a secure and convenient keyless entry solution for various indoor environments. This 5-in-1 smart lock provides multiple access methods including fingerprint, keypad code, IC card, mechanical key, and Tuya App control. Designed for ease of use and robust security, it is suitable for bedrooms, offices, and apartments.

2. Safety Information

  • Read Instructions: Always read and understand this manual completely before installation and operation.
  • Battery Safety: Use only specified AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Replace all batteries at the same time. Remove batteries if the lock will not be used for an extended period.
  • Mechanical Key: Keep mechanical keys in a safe, accessible location outside the locked area for emergency access. Do not store them inside the room where the smart lock is installed.
  • Emergency Power: The Type-C port is for emergency temporary power only and should not be used for charging batteries or as a primary power source.
  • Door Compatibility: Ensure your door thickness is within the specified range (1.18" - 1.97") for proper installation and function.
  • Data Security: Protect your access codes and IC cards. Regularly review access logs via the app.

3. Setup and Installation

The Evanshow Fingerprint Smart Door Lock is designed for easy installation without the need for drilling or complex wiring. Follow these steps carefully.

3.1. Unboxing and Component Identification

Before starting, ensure all components are present as shown in the unboxing video and image.

3.2. Door Preparation and Dimensions

Verify your door's dimensions match the lock's requirements. The lock fits wooden doors with a thickness between 1.18" and 1.97".

3.3. Installation Steps

  1. Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws.
  2. Prepare the Handles: Attach the square rod to the inner handle. Ensure the cable is properly routed.
  3. Mount the Outer Handle: Insert the outer handle through the door, aligning the square rod with the latch mechanism.
  4. Connect the Inner Handle: Connect the data cable from the outer handle to the inner handle. Carefully tuck the cable to avoid pinching.
  5. Secure the Inner Handle: Attach the inner handle to the door using the provided screws.
  6. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the inner handle and insert 4 AAA alkaline batteries. Close the cover.
  7. Test Functionality: After installation, test all access methods to ensure proper operation.

4. Operating Instructions

The Evanshow Smart Door Lock offers five ways to unlock your door:

4.1. Fingerprint Unlock

Place your registered fingerprint on the sensor. The lock will unlock in less than 0.5 seconds if the fingerprint is recognized.

4.2. Keypad Code Unlock

Enter your 6-10 digit password on the illuminated keypad, followed by the '#' key. The lock supports anti-peeping passwords, allowing you to enter random digits before or after your actual code to prevent others from guessing it.

4.3. IC Card Unlock

Tap a registered IC card against the designated sensor area on the lock. The lock will unlock automatically.

4.4. Mechanical Key Unlock

In case of battery depletion or electronic malfunction, use the provided mechanical key to unlock the door. The keyhole is located on the side of the outer handle.

5. App Control (Tuya Smart App)

Manage your Evanshow Smart Door Lock conveniently through the Tuya Smart App. This allows for remote control and advanced settings.

5.1. App Installation and Device Pairing

Download the "Tuya Smart" app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to register an account and pair your smart lock via Bluetooth.

5.2. Key App Features

  • User Management: Add, modify, or delete fingerprints, passwords, and IC cards for different users.
  • Temporary Codes: Generate time-limited, one-time, or dynamic access codes for guests or service providers.
  • Remote Unlock: Unlock the door remotely via the app (requires Bluetooth proximity).
  • Auto-Lock Mode: Enable or disable the automatic locking feature after a set period.
  • Silent Mode: Activate silent mode to disable sound prompts for discreet entry/exit.
  • Entry Logs: View a history of all lock and unlock events, including the method used.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

The lock requires 4 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). When the battery level is low, the lock will provide an audible warning and the app will display a low battery notification. Replace all batteries promptly to avoid unexpected shutdowns.

6.2. Cleaning

Wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

7. Troubleshooting
