2. Product Features

  • Lightweight Aluminum Frame: Weighing 19.58 lbs (8.88kg), this rollator features a durable aluminum frame capable of supporting up to 300 lbs. The 2.21-inch wide hollow bar design enhances stability and reduces handlebar wobble.
  • All-Terrain Wheels & 3-Mode Braking: Equipped with 10-inch front and 8-inch rear puncture-proof, shock-absorbing wheels for smooth navigation over various surfaces. The 3-mode braking system offers cruise control, a parking brake for seating, and an emergency stop function.
  • Comfortable Seating: Features a 17.3"x9.4" wide, breathable mesh seat and a padded backrest for comfort during rests.
  • Adjustable Handles: Handles are tool-free adjustable from 33.8" to 37.8" (5 positions) to accommodate users of varying heights (5'2" to 6'1").
  • Integrated Accessories: Includes an insulated cup holder, a cane support loop, and a detachable storage bag (14.9"x8.2"x8.6") for personal items. Multi-reflectors are integrated for enhanced visibility.
  • Compact Folding: Designed for quick, 3-second folding to a collapsed width of 10.6" (26.9cm) for easy transport and storage. An auto-lock latch secures the walker when folded.

3. Setup and Assembly

The FlyingJoy Rollator Walker is designed for tool-free assembly, typically taking less than 2 minutes.

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Unfold: Gently pull the sides of the walker apart until it fully extends and locks into place.
  3. Attach Front Wheels: Slide the front wheels into their designated slots on the frame. Secure them by tightening the star knobs.
  4. Attach Rear Wheels: Slide the rear wheels into their designated slots on the frame. Secure them by tightening the star knobs.
  5. Adjust Handle Height: Loosen the levers on both sides of the handgrips. Slide the handles up or down to your desired height (between 33.8" and 37.8"). Ensure the handles are at a comfortable height, allowing a slight bend in your elbows when standing upright. Re-latch the levers to secure the handles.
  6. Attach Storage Bag: Secure the detachable storage bag to the designated hooks or straps under the seat.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Walking with the Rollator

Ensure the handles are adjusted to your comfortable height. Push the rollator forward a short distance, then step forward, keeping your body upright and centered between the handles. Maintain a steady pace.

4.2 Using the Brakes

  • Cruise Control: Gently squeeze the brake levers to slow down or maintain a controlled speed on gentle slopes.
  • Parking Brake: To engage the parking brake, push the brake levers down until they lock into place. This is essential when sitting on the seat or when the walker needs to remain stationary. Pull the levers up to release.
  • Emergency Stop: Squeeze the brake levers firmly for an instant stop.

4.3 Using the Seat

Before sitting, ensure the parking brakes are fully engaged on both sides. Turn around so your back is to the seat, then slowly lower yourself onto the seat. Use the handles for support as needed. The padded backrest provides lumbar support.

4.4 Folding the Rollator

To fold the walker for storage or transport, lift the seat upwards using the designated strap or handle. The frame will collapse inward. The auto-lock latch will secure it in the folded position.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the frame, seat fabric, and wheels with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Brake Inspection: Periodically check the brake cables and levers to ensure they are functioning correctly and provide adequate stopping power. Adjust if necessary.
  • Wheel Inspection: Inspect wheels for wear and tear. The puncture-proof tires do not require inflation. Ensure all wheels spin freely.
  • Fastener Check: Ensure all nuts, bolts, and adjustment knobs are securely tightened before each use.
  • Storage: Store the rollator in a dry place away from extreme temperatures.
  • Replacement Parts: Should replacement parts be needed (e.g., front wheels, rear wheels, handgrips), contact FlyingJoy customer support.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your FlyingJoy Rollator Walker, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • Brakes not engaging/releasing properly: Check the tension of the brake cables. They may need adjustment. Ensure no debris is obstructing the brake mechanism.
  • Wheels not rolling smoothly: Inspect wheels for any trapped debris (e.g., hair, lint). Clean as necessary. Ensure the wheel axles are not loose.
  • Walker feels unstable: Verify that all assembly points (wheels, handles) are securely locked in place. Ensure the frame is fully unfolded and locked.
  • Difficulty folding/unfolding: Check for any obstructions. Ensure the seat is fully lifted before attempting to fold.

For issues not listed here or if problems persist, please contact FlyingJoy customer support.
