4. Setup Guide
4.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection
Before installation, carefully unbox your Miden X5 Dash Cam and ensure all components listed in Section 2 are present and undamaged.

4.2 Mounting the Dash Cam
Attach the suction cup mount to the main dash cam unit. Choose a suitable location on your windshield that does not obstruct your view, typically behind the rearview mirror. Ensure the windshield surface is clean and dry before applying the suction cup for a secure hold.
4.3 Connecting Power and Cameras
- Insert the provided 64GB SD card into the dash cam's SD card slot.
- Connect the main dash cam unit to the car charger using the provided charging cable. Plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket).
- Connect the internal camera and rear camera to their respective ports on the main dash cam unit. Route the cables neatly using the included wiring crowbar to tuck them along the vehicle's trim.
4.4 App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

- Scan the QR code in the user manual or search for the "Viidure" app in your smartphone's app store (Android or iOS).
- Install the app and open it.
- On the dash cam, enter the video recording mode and press the ▲ UP button to enter Wi-Fi connection mode. The dash cam screen will display the Wi-Fi SSID and password.
- On your smartphone, go to Wi-Fi settings, find the dash cam's SSID (e.g., "ActionCam_a0ac78358874"), and enter the default password (12345678).
- Return to the Viidure app. The app should now connect to the dash cam, allowing you to view live footage, access recorded videos, and adjust settings.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Operation
- The dash cam will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle starts.
- Use the physical buttons on the dash cam or the smartphone app to navigate menus and control functions.
- The dash cam supports 3-channel simultaneous recording (Front, Internal, Rear). You can switch between different display modes on the dash cam screen to view individual channels or a split-screen view.
5.2 Advanced Features
- Loop Recording: Ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest unlocked files when the SD card is full. Important footage can be manually locked or automatically locked by the G-Sensor.
- G-Sensor (Gravity Sensor): Automatically detects sudden shakes or collisions and locks the current video segment to prevent it from being overwritten.
- Parking Monitor: When the vehicle is parked and the dash cam is connected to a continuous power source (hardwire kit required for 24H monitoring, not included), it will automatically start recording if a collision or vibration is detected.
