4. Setup and Installation
Installation of the VEVOR RO system is designed to be straightforward, typically taking around 30 minutes. Ensure reserved water and electrical connections are available at the setup location.
4.1 Pre-installation Checklist
- Verify all components listed in Section 3.3 are present.
- Ensure adequate space under the sink for the compact unit (15.63 x 5.39 x 13.66 inches / 397 x 137 x 347 mm).
- Confirm access to a cold water line and a drain.
- An electrical outlet (110 Volt) is required for the system's pump.
4.2 Installation Steps
- Install the Faucet: Drill a hole in your sink or countertop (if not already present) and mount the dedicated mechanical faucet. Secure it with the provided hardware.
- Connect to Cold Water Line: Turn off the main cold water supply. Install the inlet three-way UNEF thread adapter to the cold water line. Connect the 3/8" white PE tubing from the adapter to the system's inlet port.
- Connect to Drain: Attach the wastewater clip to the drain pipe under the sink. Connect the 1/4" white PE tubing from the system's drain port to the wastewater clip.
- Connect to Faucet: Connect the remaining 1/4" white PE tubing from the system's purified water outlet to the dedicated faucet.
- Install Filters: Insert the PCF (Pre-Carbon Filter) and RO (Reverse Osmosis) filters into their respective slots on the main unit. Twist them into place until secure.
- Power Connection: Plug the adapter into the system and then into a 110 Volt electrical outlet.
- Flush the System: Turn on the main cold water supply. Open the RO faucet and allow water to run for at least 15-30 minutes to flush the system and new filters. This removes air and carbon fines.
